More salt on the wound today. Bonnie Englebart is the wife of the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-Pa.) with a current net worth exceeding $50 million. The American taxpayers will write the widow Lautenberg a tax free check for $174,000 as a “thank you.”
We know exactly what these people purchased. We know exactly who these people are. We know they were taking advantage of a broken government system. These people should be ashamed of themselves, but the government is telling Walmart to pick up the tab.
None. Zero. Absolutely not. There is no reason the federal government need be involved with approving home mortgages, yet for some reason we’re now dependent on the federal government for what used to be a simple individual voluntary arrangement and a transaction between that specific individual and their bank.

About ten days ago when everyone was thinking about the impending government shut down, President Obama announced a $320 million bailout for the bankrupt city of Detroit. But, lo and behold, per the New York Times, it isn’t a bailout, at all, it is simply “aid”.
Many on the “right” are blasting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D. Nv.) for his refusal to allow any matters of importance to come to the Senate floor during the “government shutdown”. But, I am here to tell you that nothing could be further from the truth.
