Gun control on the sly
Wonder why President Obama isn’t doing more on the topic of gun control?
Read MoreConnecticut legislator proposes ex post facto law for gun magazine capacity limit
Article 1, Section 9, Clause 3 of the Constitution is clear concerning ex post facto laws, but that won’t stop the anti-gun left in Connecticut from making possession of high-capacity gun magazines – previously completely legal to buy and own – a felony unless you turn in the ones you own within 90 days.
Read MoreNew York: Four dead, four wounded by knife-wielding attacker
Another tragedy for the victims of a violent act. Maksim Gelman allegedly used a knife to first kill his stepfather, then drove to an ex-girlfriends house where he killed her mother and the ex-girlfriend. He went on to kill two more and wound at least four others. I realize it’s a cliché now, but why isn’t Mayor Bloomberg calling…
Read MoreGun talk: Ten rounds in a magazine may not be enough – Firearm realities (Update)
Gun control advocates and even former Vice President Dick Cheney have suggested having 10 rounds available in a magazine for a semi-automatic pistol “seems” like enough to protect oneself, yet the argument is simply an extension of a random number that “seems” to make people feel better and has no relation to real-world situations.
Read MoreBrokaw still irrational: Afraid of walking into Arizona bars
It’s not like I thought he would eventually become rational or anything. Tom Brokaw is not comfortable walking into an Arizona bar on a Saturday night since the state allows their law-abiding citizens to carry a pistol for self-defense. He states the system is “wide open.” That’s a total lie.

Read MoreWhat We Believe Part 5 – Gun Rights
Bill Whittle has an other video from his What We Believe series up tonight, and it’s on gun rights. I missed last week’s video (part 4) concerning natural law last weekend and will try to get to that tomorrow, but for now, here’s your TEA Party fix for a late Saturday night.
Read MoreMexican president and Congress display ignorance on assault weapon ban
Ignorance. Putting their heads in the sand. Feel good legislation. I’m sick of politicians who cry for more restrictions on firearm ownership by law abiding citizens in the United States. Mexican President Felipe Calderon urged the return of the AWB today, and many in Congress cheered.
Read MoreBroad wellness program provision in health care bill raises questions
Just what is a wellness program and how far would government regulators take such a program to promote health or prevent disease? Second Amendment advocates have read the language in HR 3590 and implied it may result in higher premiums for gun owners, but could the language be so broad to include other activities the…
