I can not comprehend how stupid these people are. Supposedly when Rep. Gerry Connelly (D-Va.) was visiting with Mexico’s attorney general, he asked what was the one thing the United States could do to help Mexico in their battle against the drug cartels. They wanted the federal assault weapons ban (AWB) brought back of course!
Ignorance. Putting their heads in the sand. Feel good legislation. I’m sick of politicians who cry for more restrictions on firearm ownership by law abiding citizens in the United States. Mexican President Felipe Calderon urged the return of the AWB today, and many in Congress cheered.
There has been a lot of talk and chest thumping concerning the failed implementation of Connecticut’s “assault weapon” and “high-capacity” magazine registration scheme. It seems a significant number of people have ignored the law, and more probably have no idea they were supposed to register their stuff in the first place.
