Last week the Oregon Board of Education passed a new regulation prohibiting any public school from using a team name, logo or mascot that “depicts or refers to an American Indian Tribe, individual, custom or tradition”. All schools must comply, or risk cuts in state funding.

Oh no it won’t. There is a huge difference between judicial activism, where a judge or court provides a ruling based on their own feelings or opinion, and a proper judicial review when a court makes a decision based on the Constitution.

Today, 43 separate Catholic institutions filed suit against the federal government challenging it’s mandate that all such institutions must provide health insurance that covers abortion inducing drugs, sterilization and contraceptives. This mandate violates the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Honestly, my headline is totally misleading, but that’s how it’s being reported. The student was not criticizing Obama, he was pointing out Obama admitted to bullying a girl when he was in school. Because the teacher has blinders on, she was deaf to the actual point. Now, she’s suspended with pay.

Protests were scheduled at various cities Friday, and news reports indicate seven protestors showed up at Limbaugh’s Washington, DC affiliate.
