NRCC body slams Oregon Democrat representative – Ends career in politics

Maybe the fool will resign, but I doubt it. The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) points out even though U.S. House Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.) called out President Obama’s “you can keep your plan, keep your doctor period” promise as “grossly misleading,” Schrader himself made the exact same promise to voters, multiple times!

Furloughed federal workers in Oregon will keep unemployment cash, plus regular salary

I had a conversation with a few people at the onset of the federal government partial shutdown and let them know many federal employees would qualify for unemployment depending on the state. Some said I was wrong – and still won’t admit I was right – but now we learn the at least 1,300 employees who are getting back pay will be able to keep their unemployment checks too.

The “subtle language of racism” in Oregon – Referencing a “sandwich” in school

You see, some kids from different cultures may not eat sandwiches. Kids in the Portland, Ore. elementary school system may eat a torta or pita, and therefore would likely feel left out and discriminated against if a teacher referenced a “sandwich.” The result – of course – is lower grades in math and reading.

Another disenchanted Obamacare Democrat

A recent post here discussed what Democrats have been instructed to say about Obamacare on the campaign trail.

The law is not perfect, but it does good things and helps many people. Now we’ll work to improve it.

That’s hardly a resounding endorsement.

Brokaw: Here’s a great idea, let’s be more like Oregon’s medical system

This ranks right up there with Brokaw begging the President to raise gas prices. Speaking on Meet the Press, the debate turned to why Americans are so against Obamacare.
