This post has nothing to do with United States space policy or budget dollars, it has to do with ABC News totally distorting the facts when it comes to the Bush administration’s space policy after the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster in 2003.
The media certainly is changing, and major network news outfits including CBS and ABC are loosing audience number as ratings for the first quarter confirm a declining trend. The combined three still have a lot of viewers.

For those of you not familiar with Joh Stossel he is a critical thinking journalist who does not hide his libertarian leaning philosophy. His reports always reflect his affinity for personal freedom and individual liberty and his reasoning is difficult to debate because it is based on sound logic. I like John Stossel very much and after viewing this report you will understand why.
BTW his contrarian view was on full display when he did his special on global warming, the report that gave us .. “I worry … my mom worries.”

I was a reporter for more than 20 years, covering a beat that required access to some of the toughest CEOs in the country. I could not afford to really get on their bad side, but I also knew I had a job to do and I cannot imagine posing a question like this … or at least in this way. But then, that’s just me.
