On March 1, I referenced the Government Accountability Office’s upcoming report on waste and redundancy that was soon to be released. The Wall Street Journal pointed out a couple of highlights, and now it seems the report is actually being read by lawmakers and many others.
OK, I don’t have the time to look into this, but two other conservative bloggers are asking the right questions. The unemployment rate dropped from 9.4 to 9.0 percent. The number of jobs added was about 36,000. How the heck does the math work on that one?

No surprise here. Tossing money in the direction of some African countries led to little or no improvements, as funding was routed from “worthy, important” causes to expenditures by corrupt government officials that will never be tracked down.

During the last week, we’ve been writing about attempts by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Afghan president and other leaders in London to buy off the Taliban with asylum, bribes and political positions. It may work in the United States, but Taliban leadership is not falling for it.
