And, here is my plan…

During the President’s Midwest bus tour today, the President announced that he has a specific economic plan to bring this country out of our recession/depression/economic downturn…

It must be a really big plan because we have really big economic troubles.  And, to Americans, it is really important that our President lead.

But first, the President has to finish the Midwest bus tour, then, he has the “obligatory” 7 (or is it 10?) day vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

So, according to the President, the really big plan to help all Americans immediately will be released sometime in September.

Stay tuned…

You won’t see me holding my breath waiting for this plan.

  2. JollyRoger on August 15, 2011 at 11:44 pm

He raised the expectations so high- the skinny little androgen!? How amazing the media pilloried Bush for a single 500 point dive in the stock market; but Obama gets it tanking every time he opens his flatulent mouth- and still it’s Bush’s fault!

  3. Marilyn on August 16, 2011 at 7:42 am

The plan is stay the course.? You can’t change a free market, caplistis economy? without high uemployment and near zero growth.

  4. TomL on August 16, 2011 at 7:45 am

I don’t get it, he goes for a bus ride and tells people he’s going to come up with a plan. Why didn’t he just wait till he had a plan, launch it then go out and sell it.

  5. SeeingRed on August 16, 2011 at 8:15 am

Does anyone doubt that Barry’s ‘plan’ will include more Gubmint?’investment’??

  6. Murphy on August 16, 2011 at 8:59 am

Well we do have hope left after all, MSNBC ran an article in July about how the “Great white sharks amass off Martha’s Vineyard” Looks like GW may be the answer after all.? 😎

    • mwjii on August 16, 2011 at 10:03 pm

One could only hope but then we would be stuck with ” nobody mess’s with Joe”. Maybe that would be an easier target for America to vote out of office.

“My plan is to keep saying I have a plan until something happens that I can take credit for, and then say, “See, I told you I had a plan!'”

Did anyone else catch these words from Obama’s lips ?? “infrastructure bank.”? Waaait for it.

He’s waiting for TOTUS to tell him the plan

  12. NH-Jim on August 16, 2011 at 12:55 pm

    Plan???? You mean like:
$800+ billion Stimulus Plan:? that went straight to the state and municipal unions (who in turn return ‘gifts’ back to the Democrat coffers).? Hey, doesn’t every podunk, little town in America need a beautification project?? Cut Granite curbing, cobble walks, flower beds are important, no?
    ?
Cash for Clunkers:? Did nothing but make us pay for others’ new cars and cause shortage of used cars (crushed) that most lower income folks need.
    ?
Dodd-Frank Bill:? Allow these two morons to create the problem (1999 during Clinton) so that they can ‘fix’ it by hurting the smaller local banks who had nothing to do with the ‘crisis’ and allowing the big corrupt fellows to go on business as usual (notice how someone can still get an ARM with only 3% down payment)
    ?
Cash for Windows, Refrigerators, Insulation, Furnaces, etc, etc: (which if you made over $96,000 household income, sorry, you do not qualify.
    ?

    • NH-Jim on August 16, 2011 at 12:57 pm

Obamacare: Ha-ha-ha,? Need I say anything?? (Other than my rates have sky-rocketed since)
      ?
Moratorium on Oil Exploration:? Yet giving $billions to Brazil so that we can be a future customer for their oil.? 100,000 unemployed oil workers in the Gulf region thanks to your policies.
      ?
Shutdown GM Car Dealerships:? Well, at least the ones that did not contribute to your campaign.
      ?
Extension of Unemployment to 99 Weeks:? And, after that folks, you will still not find a job in your field.? But it is a good thing; you fall off the unemployment rolls so the federal unemployment numbers look better.
      ?
Fast and Furious Program:? A covert, criminal way to show dumbed-down America that we need gun/2nd Amendment reform.

  13. Gary J on August 16, 2011 at 7:08 pm

?Hey jobs for the unemployed is important, but cmon vacation is much more important when you are the leader of the free world. Hey he said he has a plan, has also said a lot of other things.

    • Erik on August 16, 2011 at 8:40 pm

If Obama would just stay on vacation for the next 14 months or so, I bet the economy would improve.? I’m sure doing nothing would be a big improvement over what he has done.

  14. Eric on August 16, 2011 at 9:07 pm

So who’s he going to ask to pen this next plan? ?And why didn’t he drop this plan on us two years ago? ?The guy doesn’t know what the truth is anymore. ?He cannot be trusted, and those of us with a brain know it! ?The only people who are sticking with this clown are strict ideologues who don’t want to be seen with egg on their faces. ?He’s finished, thank God!

  15. cherwin on August 16, 2011 at 10:13 pm

Obama’s entire presidency is a plan. Well thought out from beginning to end. He has been successful so far. He is on the brink of accomplishing government takeover of healthcare, banks, loans, education, stock market, free enterprise, the internet, the environment etc. etc.
Every freedom that this country stood for is being systematically taken away right under our noses. ?

  16. Tim-in-Alabama on August 17, 2011 at 6:57 am

Much of his plan will involve blaming everyone and everything else. That will save or imagine 13.76 million jobs.

  17. Lynn on August 17, 2011 at 7:52 am

Cherwin, I fear you are right. And it’s too early in the day to have nightmares. I never protested in my life before, not during Vietnam or during the race riot era. But I did yesterday, to show Joe C. how wrong he is. We need to take back our country in 2012.

  18. rachel on August 17, 2011 at 8:08 am

If obama doesn’t have a plan, a lot of us do…get him the h-e-double toothpicks out of the White House in 2012.

  19. steve418r on August 17, 2011 at 8:28 am

It would be better if he just showed us the plan so we can get some of this recovery. ?Maybe he needs the tour to get some ideas on the fine details of his vision……Oops I mean “plan”.?

  20. Law-AbidingCitizen on August 17, 2011 at 8:46 am

Ho, hum . . .wake me if anything new happens . . . same old, same old . . .

  21. pauldow on August 17, 2011 at 10:20 am

His business plan is to shut down 2800 square miles of airspace for ten days around MVY. That’s the 60 mile diameter ring of airspace up to 18,000 feet that gets shut down wherever he goes, because we all know that those evil Piper Cubs are what brought down the WTC. We have to keep those F-15’s flying out of Westfield every day to go shoot down airliners traveling between New York and Europe too.

    • Anybody but Obama on August 17, 2011 at 12:27 pm

You mean like the little ole 75 year old lady who was flying an antique plane in Chicago during maobama’s birthday and she got escorted by the military.

  22. Tim-in-Alabama on August 17, 2011 at 10:31 am

    YES, WE PLAN!

    • GdavidH on August 17, 2011 at 12:31 pm

      CHANGE what you believe in!

  23. Moe on August 17, 2011 at 12:01 pm

Yeah, he’s got a plan. So did Nero: Play the fiddle while Rome burns.

    • Murphy on August 17, 2011 at 1:43 pm

And remember what was said of Nero as John wrote that the number “is the number of a man’s name; and his number is 666.”

  24. NH-Jim on August 17, 2011 at 12:07 pm

    PBO’s Martha’s Vineyard Plan:
    1. Get up
    2. Scratch butt.
    3. Yawn.
    4. Scratch butt again.
    5. Drink coffee.
    6. Stroll down to beach.
    7. Pick up seashell & put to ear.
    8. Listen for any good ideas.

  25. Jeff S on August 17, 2011 at 2:18 pm

“Trust me, it will be great!!”

    Just don’t know for whom.

  26. gillie28 on August 17, 2011 at 6:30 pm

So, “I have a plan,” but despite the urgent necessity to implement?whatever will fix the economy?ASAP, I’ll? just go on vacation for two weeks to build up the suspense.? What leadership!? What vision! What inspiration!? One can only hope for change.

?Well, they are closing beaches in Martha’s Vineyard due to masses of sharks close to the shore….and they’re not the four-legged, blood-suckers that rule Washington.? Take the Divine hint – you’re not supposed to be dipping your toes in the ocean and ice-cream cones in chocolate sprinkles.? Go back to Washington and?stop being?an intellectual idiot and put arms and legs on your leadership.??The terrible economy is?not 100% your fault, but you’ve certainly made it worse by squandering squillions of dollars of OUR money (your buddies at GE excepted). Hah!

  27. Anybody but Obama on August 17, 2011 at 9:01 pm

I guess he hasn’t figured out a growing economy and a declining unemployment rate can actually get you re-elected. If it is a good plan why not implement it 2 years ago

    • Jeff S on August 17, 2011 at 10:10 pm

Why would he want that if you have a media that has Obama-asms every time he clears his throat and reads from the TOTUS.

  28. gillie28 on August 18, 2011 at 9:16 am

oops, that would be “two-legged” Washington blood-suckers, unless they really ARE aliens.

  29. NH-Jim on August 18, 2011 at 3:37 pm

The more the plan fails, the more the planners plan.

As it is said on many a factory production floor:
“In every project, there comes a time?to stop the engineers and get on with production.”

  31. Dimsdale on August 21, 2011 at 12:47 pm

On Meet the Depressed today, they reviewed ?bama’s alleged book reading list, apparently an accumulated number of pages rivaling the ?bamacare bill (http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/08/20/obama.reading.list/).
    ?
How come he has (and apparently can) read that many pages in 10 days, but can’t seem to find the time to read his signature legislation?? Or put out his miracle economic recovery bill?

  32. crystal4 on August 22, 2011 at 10:47 am

Be real. The Reps will block anything he proposes. How many times have they admitted that their primary goal is to take Obama down…“the” goal…not the good of the country, not jobs …but take back the presidency.
They have already blocked some of his best job stimulus by refusing to release the money for them.

    • PatRiot on August 22, 2011 at 12:32 pm

      Right on the nose !!
Both parties are only interested in their own well being – what is best for?America be damned.
You might recall, back?when the Dems were supposed to have a budget in place.??Harry Reid put a gag order on the Repubs when they had up to 5 budget proposals – and not 0ne of them saw the light of day.
The question is: What will us common sense Americans do to fix?this while these fools argue amongst themselves.
