The Left whacks Palin. Forgets Obama’s greatest hits

I am not sure why the lefties have once again made the lovely Sarah Palin a big time target for personal hits again … but so be it. Much is being made of Sarah’s gaffe on Becky’s show. It wasn’t much of a gaffe as you will see. But it has left them open to a very special holiday rerun of the “One’s” most memorable moments, which I have conveniently compiled for you all. Read on my little mobsters. Read on.

First the Palin gaffe. Speaking with Glenn Beck this week Palin was explaining why America needs to stand strong with South Korea as it faces an ever crazier (Is that possible?) North Korea, after it’s wild shelling of South Korea.

On Glenn Beck’s show earlier today, Sarah Palin accidentally said North Korea when she meant South Korea:

CO-HOST: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea? […]

PALIN: But obviously, we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies. We’re bound to by treaty –

CO-HOST: South Korean.

PALIN: Eh, Yeah. And we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

As John McCormack points out in the article, there is nothing wrong fair criticism when Palin clearly shows a lack of understanding of an issue. But this is not one of those moments. Still, Sarah has shown she will not stand by and let this kind of criticism stand without fighting back, and she did yesterday on her Facebook page.

My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate – from the FBI’s 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. And let’s face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian for that…

Of course, the paragraph above is based on a series of misstatements and verbal gaffes made by Barack Obama (I didn’t have enough time to do one for Joe Biden). YouTube links are provided just in case you doubt the accuracy of these all too human slips-of-the-tongue. If you can’t remember hearing about them, that’s because for the most part the media didn’t consider them newsworthy. I have no complaint about that. Everybody makes the occasional verbal gaffe – even news anchors.

Hot Air has a great round up of the entire dust up plus a link to the audio. But, I have decided to help Governor Palin a bit by assembling the “hits” she links to above. Enjoy.

OK, maybe I misstated it a bit myself. Of course the left is going after Sarah. Her name continues to show strong when it comes to Presidential polls. But if this woman is such an easy defeat for Obama, why would they not be encouraging her instead of whacking her. Maybe because they know where her “goat” lives?

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3NyxfwJJCY

I may be missing something, but I think they think she can win. Or am I wrong.

One more thing. This isn’t the only item the left is going after her for. Her fish clubbing incident is all the rage too. Too Much.

Stop making me feel sorry for the Palins!

The story which caught my attention had one of the more provocative titles I’d seen all week. Sarah Palin clubs to death a fish on reality show labelled ‘a snuff video’ by animal rights group. (And really, guys, couldn’t you spell check the title?)

Sarah Palin is under fire for clubbing a fish to death on her new reality TV show.

The Tea Party darling and her daughter Bristol, 20, were shown on a halibut fishing trip filmed for her new programme, Sarah Palin’s Alaska.

After catching a fish, Sarah is seen beating it with a club and Bristol later holds its still-beating heart in her hand, a sight Sarah called ‘weird’.

But then again, they went after her for carrying her shotgun incorrectly, remember?

Read the old post … but no, she’s not carrying it incorrectly. I just want to know what model it is.

I am not a fan of Sarah, but I do acknowledge she was an honorable, ethical Governor of Alaska, despite the ridiculous lawsuits. However, I am totally mystified by the hatred of her by everyone on the left. Presently she holds no office, but that doesn't stop the barrage of hatred. I am hoping some of your listeners will be able to clear this mystery up.

    I LOVE SARAH PALIN!!!

You r rite Jim. She scares the HE@@ out of them. I was impressed w/her the first time I heard her speak (almost to the point of tears of joy). I think the more they knock her, the more exposure she gets and like "CHRIS M", they will wind up getting it even if they won't admit it.

I saw this story yesterday afternoon and immediately had to go to hiffing and puffing to see how they spun it. The story was there….blah blah blah. The funny part was the comment section. Any one who pointed out the "One's" gaffes in a comment was quickly dismissed with snarky replies and accused of being childish or vindictive. Typical left. No argument to make??? call names. Point out a double standard??? call names.

No adults at the HuffPo site.

I laughed the whole time she was whacking halibut and holding beating hearts in her hand knowing the left's heads were exploding. These are people who shop at Whole Foods and think everything is manufactured in shiny factories. If they knew where their filet mignon came from they'd faint. I don't know yet if Palin's the right person to be president or not but I love when she pokes them in the eye.

BTW, the gun in the Newsweak picture is an over/under shotgun and the proper safe way to carry it when you're not shooting it is exactly how she's doing it. With the action open, it is safe, unloaded and is clearly seen as such by the people around you. It can NOT fire when in that condition. When you need it to go BOOM, you load the two shells in and close the action.

I am 54 years young, have only voted 5 times in my life, and have never been more excited about a politician than I am about Sarah Palin. Her enthusiasm and pride for our country has spilled over onto me, and her record for fighting corruption in her state is astounding. For all the reasons I adore her, are probably all the reasons the left goes after her.

  7. sammy22 on November 26, 2010 at 5:10 am

The Right whacks Pres. Obama, the Left whacks former Gov. Palin. Tit-for-tat, that really moves the conversation forward!

  8. Sertorius on November 26, 2010 at 5:17 am

Sarah Palin has made valuable contributions to ongoing battle for freedom in America. She is a drummer, but simply does not have the intellectual goods or executive savvy to be President. Sarah's role in today's America revolution might be compared to Sam Adams or Patrick Henry in the revolutionary birth of the nation. Both rallied forces and effectively whacked and stoked the masses, but neither possessed the leadership timber to be president. She has my admiration, but not my vote.

  9. Anne-EH on November 26, 2010 at 5:24 am

Could it be because Sarah REMINDS Americans of the "great communicator", Ronald Reagan, who was not only grounded in American principles, but also had great American comments? Just wondering. :)=^..^=

Oh, Obama…we have to start treating those drunken, asthmatic kids earlier, don't we?

Here's "hoping" that if Palin does run against Obama in 2012, she wipes the floor with his ignorant butt.

  11. Jeff on November 26, 2010 at 6:54 am

With all the attacks on Sarah and the number of times we must defend her from the individuals that Hate her so much it appears she could be somewhat of a distraction.  She does offer a delightful  personality and her responses to issues are refreshing.   Time will tell as to where we are headed as a country.  In Washington there is just so much hate amongst so many of our politicians.

Jim, I just a half-an-hour ago had posted this RVO article over at Free Republic. The response was very fast from the Free Republic posting community. Here it is:

I will guarantee you that Palin will get destroyed if she runs for President.Absolutely no way in hell will she be elected. She is so full of it.She says that Obama ignored the will of the people….well didn't she ignore the will of the people when she quit governorship ????Her thoughts and one liners are laughable…..even when Hannity feeds her explanations she can barely run with it ….right now the right is imploding on how do deftly get around this woman…she will be scrutinized and all her hypocrisy and lies will come to light…President ???…not in  this lifetime.

Most libs wouldn't last six months in Alaska. They have fits when it snows an inch. It's looks like that wasn't the first fish clubed to death.Sarah is frotier woman that's is something lost on the Libs. I would go fishing with her anytime. By the way that gun she's carring is "safe",show a gun and libs just go nuts.

  18. Wind on November 26, 2010 at 3:41 pm

I had 4 Lib friends have a field day of bashing her on facebook over this. " She is dumber than a box of rocks", " She is power hungry", " She is ignorant", you get the picture. These are the same people that criticized me when I mention anything negative , but truthful, about the Anointed One. Hypocrisy at its best. Yes..they are scared to death of Palin because she is Real, To the point, and represents the feelings of many fed up people who have had it with the progressives. They, ( Libs) can't handle the truth!

  19. David R on November 26, 2010 at 3:50 pm

I can't recall a political figure who can work the media like Sarah Palin. To her credit she's made herself a celebrity after an unsuccessful run for VP, while her running mate, a guy with some substantial credentials, has fallen in the esteem of most Americans. Libs ought to just sit back and appreciate her phenomenal success. The folks who should be worried are the male presidential hopefuls on the Republican side. Her presence on the campaigh trail will make all those middle-aged white guys look bland and boring, no matter how smart they are.

  20. Wayne SW on November 26, 2010 at 4:27 pm

Run Sarah Run!  Visit all 57 states while your at it!  *for you lefty Obama A$$ kissers, that was NOT a misspeak by your Anointed One, he truly thought America had 57 states.

Sarah has more intelligence and honor that the current residence of the White House.

  21. sammy22 on November 27, 2010 at 2:36 am

I learned a lot more about former Gov. Palin than I knew 2 days ago, I think.

  22. rickyrock on November 27, 2010 at 6:27 am

Sara Palin has no concrete policies regarding any major problems facing the U.S. Sara Palin quit her governorship and left Alaska with a staggering debt equal to 70 % gdp………higher than California..This is the best the Republicans have ????Again, this woman is a joke..It's frightening that anyone would take her seriously.

  23. David R on November 27, 2010 at 11:41 am

Remember "gravitas"? It was supposed to be one of the essential attributes of presidential hopefuls. Then came Sarah Palin, who has given us a serious break from all that unattractive posturing.  She's like the bit of sherbet they give you between courses, to cleanse the palate, at a fancy NY restaurant. Way to go Sarah. Your sweetness refreshes so nicely that I dread going on to the meat course.

  24. sammy22 on November 27, 2010 at 3:10 pm

So far most the comments about Sarah Palin have short on substance and very long of "fluff".

  25. David R on November 28, 2010 at 7:58 am

To critics: My gosh it's easy to find Sarah's shortcomings, but don't let them obscure the role she's had in creating a new class of political activists. She's brought a lot of people to the dance. Chances are, as time goes by, they'll find new music and partners that better suit modern problems, but that shouldn't minimize her importance as motivator for a movement.

  26. Dimsdale on November 28, 2010 at 9:27 am

LOL!  I keep watching and laughing!  All the criticisms about Palin can be applied to Øbama!

10 out of 10 Navy "Corpsemen" agree!
