An exchange on Jim’s show this morning made me laugh and think at the same time. A caller remarked paying (well, bribing) companies to come to Connecticut is analogous to paying a high priced mistress: when the money dries up, she disappears in the middle of the night. When you think about it, aren’t Democrats…
David Adams at Reuters probably thought his attack piece full of half-truths and a few outright lies about the finances of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) would be read by only a few since all of the attention these days is on the GOP candidates. Boy, was he wrong.
We’ve known Media Matters for America is hiding behind its tax-exempt, non-partisan 501(c)(3) status, but it’s time the IRS calls them out and pull their tax-exempt approval.
Yeah, yeah, yeah … we’ve heard it all before. GOP candidate for president Newt Gingrich labeled President Obama the “food-stamp president,” igniting the flame of racism among conservatives. Not only do whack-job socialist U.S. representatives get into the act, CNN anchor Martin Bashir stokes the fire himself by highlighting this crap and agreeing with her.…
Class warfare 101 as expressed by the main stream media. As someone who has actually owned an offshore bank account, I’m offended by the biased attack tossed at Gov. Mitt Romney concerning his own bank accounts in the Cayman Islands. (That is what it is all about right … being offended.) ABC News followed the…
A recent link by a contributor to the blog was made to the far left site, American Progress, about the cost that enforcing immigration laws, i.e. detaining and deporting illegals, is detrimental (“a disaster”) to local, state and national economies. To wit: American Progress makes ten arguments, each of which either references another left wing…
This totally ticks me off. This bastard at the New York Times – Michael Luo – should be fired immediately for creating a totally false news story. Of course, I don’t expect the Times to do a damn thing about this mis-characterization of concealed weapon permit holders, it’s par for the course. Regarding carry permits,…
I just read an article at the Weekly Standard blog describing the comments made by MSNBC analyst Karen Finney: One of the things about Herman Cain is, I think that he makes that white Republican base of the party feel okay, feel like they are not racist because they can like this guy,” Finney said. “I…
A story in the Virginia Pilot concerning a home invasion and shooting outside of Norfolk, Va. originally provided a suspect description that included “black males” but the story was changed to exclude that part of the description. Should editors include black, white, Asian (etc.) as descriptions in news stories when racial identification is pertinent?
This is rich. No, maybe it’s poor; I just don’t know anymore. Paul Krugman has an opinion piece in the New York Times today where he claims the Occupy Wall Street crowd is just trying to get their message heard.
