Marines not allowed into a bar

And you’ll never guess where this bar is, FOUR BLOCKS from Capital Hill.  There was some original question of if all military are denied access, just Marines or just certain Marines.  What happened is some people went to the Hawk n Dove bar in DC and were turned away because of their military IDs.  The owner of the bar has since danced around and said his stance is that he does not want the Marines from the local barracks in his bar.  But his employees seemed not to be aware of his intention, people were turned away with military ID’s period.  What do I think happened???  The guy realized he was in a world of you know what and this is the answer he came up with.  If he wanted just those specific Marines turned away his employees would have been aware of that.  I don’t think a bouncer would come up to deny military members access.  Either way the damage is done.  The word is circulating around the Hill and there’s a pretty good bet that there won’t be too many patrons showing up that serve this nation, or people who support them and Boycott Hawk n Dove seems to catching on rather quickly.  I don’t think the owner thought about what happens when you disrespect even one Marine that serves our fine nation.   Here’s a story that the local news did.

I spent two years at Catholic U. in D.C. I'd have felt much safer at the place with Marines in the house those nights Kennedy and Dodd showed up.

    That was some ugly s&*(%.
