Congressman Henry Waxman Gets Waxed

At House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Hearings today Republicans bit down hard and would not let go. Every time a Democrat tried to blame the current crisis on banking deregulation, the Republicans fired back with “Fannie Mae”. Finally Democrat Chairman Henry Waxman had had enough and looked for help from the experts giving testimony. What ensured was classic TV.

    Did Waxman really think that these guys were going to go along with the Democrat's (and media's) fiction?

    Someone should have read Orson Scott Card's article aloud.

    How asleep (or complicit) would you have to be to miss the fact that the housing price/mortgage crisis triggered the current financial debacle.
