Commercial interruptions on the WTIC online stream

During the big show on Thursday and Friday, online listeners experienced significant issues as commercials kept “stepping” on the “talk” portion of Jim’s talk show. WTIC News Talk 1080 is aware of the issue and they are working on the problem.

This has been an issue in the past, with Jim getting cut off at the end – or the beginning – of a segment but the issues were much more severe on Thursday and Friday.

Any comments concerning online stream issues should be directed to [email protected]. If you send them to us – and we got a bunch of them yesterday and today – please understand Radio Vice Online has no control concerning the online feed or commercials. We don’t even have the resources to forward each e-mail to the station.

But … as many of us know from experience, more e-mail complaints from listeners to the station may result in a “bump” concerning the priority of the support ticket at the CBS Radio mothership.

We understand there are thousands of online listeners each day across the country, and Jim appreciates your patience.

It got really bad when CBS first started streaming WTIC. I remember mornings where the online "version" of WTIC was live Ray and whosherface being stepped on by a rerun of Coast-to-Coast AM — for literally hours. It really has gotten better over the past couple of years, although I'm convinced that somebody doesn't know how to operate the patch board 🙂

Yeah, after it happened at the end of last week, I went back to my Bose and have managed to cope.  But it does stink for people who listen from their offices and from out of the 50K watt flamethrower range….'tis interesting that it's gotten SO bad just before the election.  But I'm not going conspiracy theorist on y'all.  lol  HAPPY VOTING TODAY!
