Biden on vice presidency: It’s easy … you don’t have to do anything

CSPAN cameras and audio caught Vice President Joe Biden discussing the office of the Vice President with attendees at the Health Care Theater Summit yesterday.

The audio is not easy to hear, and probably will not be great for radio today, but Sister Toldjah brings us to a Politico video piece. Ed Morrissey at Hot Air also writing.

Yeah, it’s a joke and I’m certain that he has pretty long days, lots of meetings and heavy responsibilities, but it is pretty funny…

There have been some tense moments during today’s health care summit at the Blair House, but not for Vice President Joe Biden, it seems.

Just moments before the afternoon session got underway, C-SPAN’s cameras picked up audio of Biden chatting casually with participants.

“It’s easy being vice president — you don’t have to do anything.”

Whomever Biden was chatting with said, “It’s like being the grandpa and not the parent.”

“Yeah, that’s it!” replied Biden.

Biden spokesman Jay Carney tells POLITICO that the vice president was “obviously joking, as any review of his schedule and responsibilities would make abundantly clear.”

"Slow Joe" Biden is a perfect trial balloon stooge for Obama: a sidekick.  Gabby Hayes?

I remember how the McCain/Palin posters etc., had the names with the same type size, while Obama/Biden signs always had Biden in significantly smaller print….

Who said that VPs "meet diplomats, attend funerals and inquire as to the health of the president"?
