‘Who Really Cares’ About the Constitution?

OK … I know most liberals realllllly hate the second amendment. I know they try real hard to ignore it. Witness the Heller case in DC. Even in Connecticut legislators have pushed for everything from limiting gun purchases to registering ammunition. But this is just stupid

“Who really cares about it being unconstitutional? This is what’s right to do, and if this means that we have to go out and have a court battle, then that’s fine.”

It’s hard to believe how screwed the voting citizens of Connecticut have been with their two “absentee senators”. First Lieberman runs in 2004 as VP candidate with Gore – for that he “took off from work” for nearly two years. Of course we continued to pay his senator salary and perks even though he did nothing for us while campaigning. Then in 2008 "Countrywide Chris" Dodd decided he would run for President. His campaigning and fund-raising kept him out-of-state for about a year, he even moved his family to Iowa for a spell. So, while on our lucrative Senate payroll, he did nothing for us for at least that year. Most importantly, he ignored his responsibilities on the Senate Banking Committee – the group which should have been working to prevent the massive national financial cave-in. But he did nothing, he always said that “I have a big staff to take care of things”. Well, if the staff could take care of things – what do we need Dodd for then? Then Lieberman does his thing again in 2008 – first he jumps from Democrat to Independent, then from Indepependent to wingman for GOP's John McCain- and he spends 2008 traveling around the country holding McCain’s hand. He, as well as Dodd, ignored his senate responsibilities and the welfare of the Connecticut citizens that he was elected to represent. Lieberman also ignored his committee chairmanship duties. Now these two weasels want to return to the Senate after their long absences as if nothing had happened. We must vote them out of office at the first opportunity, they are opportunistic parasites. How can we permit someone to take years off, with full pay and benefits to apply for new jobs while begging for money, and then pissing away campaign contributions? All incumbents were there in DC, in power, as the financial mess developed and exploded – so the only conclusion must be that they are incompetents because they did nothing to prevent it. We must vote them all out of office, especially the Connecticut guys who have proven that they are not only incompetent but also self-serving.

Hitler came to power as a socialist. Let's hope this hubris is exposed and defeated. God help us.

The woman who said "who cares about being Constitutional" should be thrown out of the country (which, of course, would nullify the First Amendment, which is each citizen's right to say completely stupid and uninformed things). New immigrants becoming naturalized learn that the Constitution is the Law of the Land.

What happened to this idiot? Time for remedial civics.

Dims, nearly those EXACT words were uttered from Vicevich's lips about 4 years ago should we throw him out of the country?

Jim believed that Jose Padilla should be held without due process because he was a supposed terrorist. Jose Padilla is a US citizen. Jim wanted to strip this citizen of his most basic rights. I called and discussed this with him and stopped listening to him for 3 years because I thought he was an idiot.
