What will Costas say tonight?
Last Sunday evening during halftime, NBC football analyst, Bob Costas, commented on the tragedy in Kansas City where a Chiefs’ football player killed his girlfriend and then killed himself with a firearm. He used this tragedy to advocate gun control. He left me with the impression that if we just banned guns in this country (or, perhaps, put tighter controls on them) this tragedy would never have happened.
Yesterday, another tragedy happened in football, this time in Dallas. A member of the Dallas Cowboys was killed while driving with a teammate. The vehicle apparently hit a curb and flipped over. The teammate was arrested for DUI.
So, during tonight’s halftime will we hear Bob Costas demand that we ban driving while intoxicated in this country?
Oh wait, that is already banned.
Note to Mr. Costas:
You can pass all the laws you want. Responsible people will obey them, and irresponsible people will not.
In fact, responsible people don’t need laws, they know what is right and what is wrong.
But, more to the point, irresponsible people people are simply irresponsible and it doesn’t matter to them how many laws we pass.

@SOS You know Costas is a racist, he doesn’t want a black man to have a gun
Well, I haven’t read Drudge Report, yet today. But, I bet Costas ?just reported the death and accident, without pithy comments.
If Costas mentions it all, it will be in passing, “Oh, a player got killed in a traffic accident . . .”
Then he will gibber about the last week’s tragedy and the need for total gun confiscations, bans, regulations, laws . . . all delivered with fervent emotion. Of course, there won’t be a word about alcohol abuse, the overuse and reliance on prescription narcotics and the effects of combining the two or any mention of brain injury or mental illness.
?
So what if no one has guns, Mr. Costas, would we then have paradise? What about China, Malaysia, Singapore, UK, North Korea, Australia and other countries?
I would agree with the above, unless, of course, the vehicle in question is one of the killer SUVs!
The personification of evil.
I really wish that Costas would just keep his mouth shut.? He needs to keep the dust from getting on that “Vacancy” sign that is holding his ears apart.
