Government Motors recalls Volt

If you are one of the 8000 people who have flocked to purchase a Chevy Volt over the past 2 years, please read on.

Chevy wants you to please return your vehicle to the dealership because, there is a possibility that it might catch fire.  So far, those fires have only occured after collisions, but, when you are Government Motors, you can’t be too careful as, after all, this is an election year.

GM will ask Volt owners to return the cars to dealers for structural modifications, said the person, who did not want to be identified because GM executives plan to announce the repairs later Thursday.
Exactly, who are these unidentified people?

Please click on this link and you will see how serious our President looks behind the wheel of a Volt.

So, I guess it is serious.  Maybe you should ask Chevy to tow your vehicle into the dealership for you.  Who knows, you may have an accident along the way.

And then what?

Cars catching fire is nothing new but, it should be old news. This is a fault that should have been foreseen in the design phase and corrected. No something that is corrected after the fact.
How many millions or billions went into designing the Volt? Just to get a hibachi on impact?

And don’t forget when these things catch fire they are more of a hazard to the firemen than a real car.

Has the “fire sale” joke been done yet?? 😉

If you get injured by a Volt, can you charge it with battery?

They should have a fire sale as HP did when they dumped their Touchpad tablets.? I’d consider buying for a Chevy Volt for $99…
Really, what good is a car you’d be afraid to park inside an enclosed structure (garage, parking lot, etc.)?

“Old Volts don’t die, they just burn away”

How about Congressmen/women who voted for this mess have to drive the Volts to the dealerships, instead of having them towed.

They should have fashioned the whole vehicle out of flame retardant materials.

With our luck, they would have made it out of asbestos…

Sound Off Sister said, “FLOCKED to purchase a Chevy Volt over the past 2 years.”

?That’s funny stuff right there. Considering the type of green?SHEEP that bought them, I would say a better choice of words there is not.?

      Oh I get it FLEECED!

Chevy should make a commercial for the Volt with Bob Seger singing, “Like Barack.”

It is a “Voluntary Customer Satisfaction Issue” and, therefore, it is not a recall!? Yet 250 owners have demanded a loaner vehicle because the fixes will not be available until mid-February and some are demanding a “buyback”.
Remember those attacks that Ford and Firestone suffered over the Wilderness AT tire failures?? Where are the attacks Main Stream Media?? Hmmm?
