Doris Kearns Goodwin hearts McCain. A noble man who stood up against key conservative principles (tax cuts, immigration, free speech). Her suggestion … run on your war record and mush the rest and hope no one notices. Listen to how Peggy Noonan responds at the end. Priceless!

BTW I like John McCain and to be fair … he is calling for the tax cuts to made permanent and is not yet ready to back this short term big buck economic”stimulus” package which I am not sure will stimulate anything but inflation.
