The more things change… Reagan’s “A time for choosing” speech

Central government planning. Un-checked federal government growth. The failed “war on poverty.” Social Security ponzi scheme. Outlandish Department of Agriculture rules and regulations. Appeasing the enemy.

Although I had heard excerpts from this speech, I had not watch the full version. Before election day, you should watch it, and share it with everyone you know.

It’s great but the opening and the end bit about foreign policy are the best parts. There’s an excerpt video of the last bit titled “It’s a simple answer after all” that by itself is gold.

No wonder the leftists worked so hard to discredit Reagan. It must have been especially galling for them since he was a former Democrat that woke up to reality.

Update the figures, and every single thing Reagan said is as true today as it was 50 years ago. The liberals have not changed one iota. Everything Reagan said about the Dems and the Cold War and Vietnam are completely applicable to the War on Terrorism and ?bama’s feckless response to ISIS, not to mention his actions that made ISIS possible. Reagan knew the evils of socialism, and everything he predicted is coming to pass.

Democrats who might hear any of this will surely plug their ears and start singing “la-la-la-la…”
50 years later and what Reagan said is still relevant and true. This is well worth hearing again and again.
