Obama to heart patient – take a pill

Last little gem from last nights ABC Health special. Jane Sturm tells the President it took three doctors to agree to implanting a pacemaker in her 100 year old mother’s chest. She is now 105. Would Obamacare have denied her life?

The President’s answer was classic equivocation. This is so tough … but we just make have to tell your grandmother … to take a pill. I am sure Grandma was thrilled when she heard that.

Yes this has been edited down. Just so you know I cut out the parts where the President expounded on living wills, and end of life decisions. Get ready for the end. Not bad advice but did not answer the ques

WHAT A WASTE OF PRIME TIME! MR. OBAMA BEAT AROUND THE BUSH WITH EVERY QUESTION. JUST A LOT OF SPECULATION TO SEE HOW MUCH THE PUBLIC WILL BUY OF OBAMA DRIFFLE! THE THOUGHT OF PELOSI HEADING UP THIS ISSUE IS ENOUGH TO MAKE ANYONE SICK. HOW CAN A GROUP OF ELITIST, WHO HAVE THE BEST OF HEALTH INSURANCE, DECIDE WHAT THE WORKING MAN NEEDS, AND IF AND WHEN A PERSON SHOULD HAVE MEDICAL TREATMENT. IF OBAMA WANST A GOVERNMENT HEALTH PLAN, THEN THE PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS SHOULD TEST IT OUT FIRST, FOR AT LEAST 4 YEARS. (I WONDER IF TED KENNEDY WOULD STILL BE AROUND).

I cannot believe this guy. As a culture and a society “we” have to make better decisions? “We” have to let the doctors and the patients know it might not work? Shouldn’t those decisions be made ONLY by the doctor and the patient? Apparently he would have told his grandmother, “Take a pill, sweetie.” Feh.

Insinuating the government between a doctor and a patient is like asking a one year old to do the household taxes (even though the baby would probably do them better than Timmy Geithner).

Decisions based on money cannot and should not supercede decisions based on medicine.

    should do the trick.

    Obama actually says:
“I don’t want bureaucracies making those decisions,… they are already being made… If not under Medicare & Medicaid, they’re being made by private insurers.”
    About the pacemaker:
“that’s a good example of where-if we’ve got experts looking at this, … that the pacemaker may ultimately save money, then we potentially COULD HAVE DONE THAT FASTER.”

Instead this vid cuts to a point where he talks about how we all could save money on OTHER MEDICATION THAT DOESN’T HELP.

I’m sorry people, this is so obvious.
    DON’T BE FOOLED.

AGAINST HEALTHCARE REFORM ARE ONLY THE BIG INSURANCE CORPORATIONS AND THEIR HELPERS, because they want you continue to give them money for nothing.

“Pre-existing conditions” and “experimental treatments”, anyone?
