Obama on Afghanistan – then and now

During the campaign in 2008, President Obama was quite clear about what was needed in Afghanistan. Although he did state that military action was not enough, he described the situation as precarious and urgent, with Afghanistan being the central front in the war on terror. So now he’s taking a wait and see attitude?

Here’s a clip from the CBS interview in July 2008. He seemed pretty clear as to what his strategy was at the time. [Update: Sorry, I had the video clips in the incorrect order. Thanks to reader Mike T. for letting me know.]
