Drill Here Drill Now Pay Less

Once again Newt Gingrich showing real leadership. Click here. Sign the petition. Send a message to Washington.

As gas prices continue to increase, Congress continues to blame others while ignoring practical steps to stop the pain Americans are feeling at the pump. To lower gasoline prices and reduce our dependence on foreign oil, we need real solutions to our energy challenges.

Obama To Wesleyan Grads: Forget The Cash

This is a common theme at graduations: a call to service. I heard it when I graduated. This difference is how Obama looks upon not just public service but also the private sector. Public, good … private, selfish.

He goes further though as you will hear. He tells the Wesleyan grads, many of whom have seen their parents shell out better than $200,000 on their education, that they have an obligation, no a debt to society, that they must repay, by forgoing a job and working in public service.

Never mind the debt to their hard working parents who shelled out the cash so their children could go to a good school, and get a head start on a good job so that they might contribute in so many ways to their community. Perhaps by landing that Wall Street job, not only will they be able to support themselves and their children, but maybe their parents in their old age, make substantial charitable contributions to their community and provide jobs with their capital that otherwise might not materialize.

This banter is so 60′s and so typical of a guy who hangs out with 60′s radicals and radical professors. You owe society, not your parents. Public service good … capitalism bad. Oh brother.

Obama: Wesleyan or Wellesley?

I am told its a joke … he sure doesn’t look like he gets it … maybe its just me.

MEMORIAL DAY: A CONTRAST

John over at Powerline has a nice contrast on how two men view the world oh so differently.

President Bush spent the day honoring those who gave their lives in the line of service, protecting us and our freedom. The man who would be President spent the day bashing George Bush and portraying soldiers as victims.

The Democrat Times vs The White House

Yes … it’s a few days old … but oh so worth noting again. The New York Times choosing Memorial Day to bash Bush … Again Gateway Pundit has it all here.

President Bush opposes a new G.I. Bill of Rights. He worries that if the traditional path to college for service members since World War II is improved and expanded for the post-9/11 generation, too many people will take it.He is wrong, but at least he is consistent. Having saddled the military with a botched, unwinnable war, having squandered soldiers’ lives and failed them in so many ways …

but this time Bush bashes back. I love it.

This editorial could not be farther from the truth about the President’s record of leadership on this issue. In his January … President Bush specifically called upon Congress to answer service members’ request that they be able to transfer their GI Bill benefits to their spouses and children. In April, he sent a legislative package to the Hill that would expand access to childcare, create new authorities to appoint qualified spouses into civil service jobs, provide education opportunities and job training for military spouses, and allow our troops to transfer their unused education benefits to their spouses or children.

As an aside … the Webb bill does none of this … it does however offer the same college benefits to a service member no matter their length of service. A debatable point for sure … one wonders why the Democrats and the NY Times fail to mention the White House points here.

Obama’s Sixth Sense

If this weren’t so funny it would be creepy. Or … if it weren’t so creepy, it would be funny. Let’s see now, he can see dead people … can the Messiah also raise them from the dead? Stay tuned. Gateway pundit has it all.

Shall we add it all up. Let’s see, there are 57 states, Kentucky is next to Arkansas, the Sioux City dust up, the civil rights march in Selma (1965) that lead to his birth (1961)… and this one which didn’t get much media attention, when he told us he won Michigan.

But nooooooo … the media isn’t covering for him one little bit, right Dan Quayle?

Dems To The People: OK, so we lied. What ya gunna do about it?

This via instapundit … through Jeff Emanuel’s site.

“Congressman admits Democrats “stretched the facts,” misled anti-war supporters about supposed plans for ending War”

Socialism On The March

Hey folks … no fooling … this is getting serious. OK, so its Maxine Waters. But still an American Congressperson is actually calling for nationalizing the oil companies. WE ARE DOOMED. Read it all here at Gateway Pundit. Please!
