WSJ’s Dan Henninger on SOC
Daniel Henninger is deputy editor of The Wall Street Journal’s editorial page and his column’s are among the most quoted on radio and TV today. When he writes, people read and think. And he will be our guest on SOC at 10:35 am
In particular we will be discussing this column, “The Obama Rosetta Stone”
Mr. Obama made clear in the campaign his intention to raise taxes on this income class by letting the Bush tax cuts expire. What is becoming clearer as his presidency unfolds is that something deeper is underway here than merely using higher taxes to fund his policy goals in health, education and energy.
The “top 1%” isn’t just going to pay for these policies. Many of them would assent to that. The rancorous language used to describe these taxpayers makes it clear that as a matter of public policy they will be made to “pay for” the fact of their wealth — no matter how many of them worked honestly and honorably to produce it. No Democratic president in 60 years has been this explicit.
Here’s what Rush has to say about Dan:
Daniel Henninger is a brilliant guy. His column is consistently superb, and this one really nails who Obama is. It’s why, during the campaign, Obama made the “moral” argument for taxing the achievers even when it was pointed out to him that this would necessarily depress revenues and therefore deny his big government the resources to do the big things he wants to do.
And here’s his most recent column, “Earmark Madness”

Did Obama get that dog yet? He'll need one, because pretty soon, the Dems are going to have to say "the dog ate the economy."
Henninger is great. I have read him for years. Too bad Obambi and the Bumblers didn't and don't.
