What We Believe Part 4 – Natural Law

Going back to part 4 in this post, since I missed the video on natural law from the first weekend in November. Remember … we are endowed by our creator … even though President Obama has elected to skip that part the last time he referenced the Declaration of Independence.

Thanks to Bill Whittle, who really is putting together a very good primer with these videos.

I think the real case for natural law is the imperfection of man as a follower or leader. Democracy gives us Hitler and Mugabe while capitalism gives us Lady Gaga and Chris Matthews; even Obama comes squeaky clean with Ivy League pedigrees and an almost certificate of authenticity- but he's an empty suit. My own father came out of a seminary with a BS in divinity and then earned advanced degrees in education; but he was hopelessly violent.

My mother knew, the neighbors knew, and the relatives knew, but people are cowards. Even women who are attacked by men are taught to yell fire rather than rape because people call 911 based on their own self interest. The only creature who ever challenged my father was a 60 lb German Shepherd named Ralph. I live for that dog; question authority, obey your nature, and never back down; you don't even have to bite, just stand your ground- it works.

To understand what it is to be American, one needs to understand the Constitution, the history behind it, the basics of any major religion and this series of videos.
