What happened to President Obama?

I did not watch the debate…I leave that to my brother.  But the talk today seems to be that President Obama wasn’t at his best.  And who better than former presidential candidate Al Gore to comment as to why that might be.  Here is what he said,

Obama arrived in Denver at 2pm today. Just a few hours before the debate started. Romney did his debate prep in Denver. When you go to 5000 feet and you only have a few hours to adjust, I don’t know…
Luckily for the President, the last Presidential debate is in Boca Raton, Florida, a city with an altitude that is pretty close to sea level.

Wow, was Gore actually BLAMING nature?????? The Green Police will be after him for sure.

  2. Murphy on October 4, 2012 at 12:06 pm

It made me think of the Nixon v Kennedy debates. But instead of Nixon’s sweating it was Obamanation bowing his head in defeat and nodding in apparent agreement with Romney.

  3. JollyRoger on October 4, 2012 at 12:44 pm

At least they haven’t blamed George Bush yet!

  4. Benjamin Less on October 4, 2012 at 2:28 pm

I have to laugh, even when its apparent that the man exposed behind the curtain is challenged without his teleprompter? in view, the media makes excuses for him right up until the end.
    ?
It’s obvious that President Obama has not been challenged on anything since he’s been in office.? It must be tough to be Barack.?

    • brianh on October 4, 2012 at 11:12 pm

Pardon me, but actually it’s the first time he’s been challenged since the Blair House summit— when Paul Ryan?got 6 minutes to clean his clock 🙂

  5. Dimsdale on October 4, 2012 at 2:44 pm

I went in with some trepidation, and came out cheering.? Romney cleaned ?bama’s clock.? For whatever reason, ?bama was a stumbling wreck, stammering and repeating soundbites, while Romney kept pummeling him with facts and figures.? Mitt is a fact and figure guy; ?bama is a poseur.? To be sure, I would expect ? to be better prepared next time (probably with the moderator’s questions), but so will Mitt.? If Mitt only did as well as ?, then the LSM would have called it for ?, but, as Hugh Hewitt says, if it isn’t close, they can’t cheat.? It wasn’t close.? I assume Jim will play Matthews’ rant, or Maher’s or Moore’s many tweets.
    ?
The next polls should be interesting….

  6. Plainvillian on October 4, 2012 at 2:53 pm

Best response (from Powerline comments):? “Obama better hope a kicked ass is covered by Obamacare.”

    • SoundOffSister on October 4, 2012 at 5:38 pm

I heard this today…the President should say, “I didn’t lose the debate, I inherited a bad debate”.

  7. chelly1222 on October 4, 2012 at 3:22 pm

I must say, of all the Romney’s I’ve seen so far, Debate Romney is my favorite.? (Quite moderate, don’t you think?)

The defeat of surface by substance.
    ?
And, of course Obama has to have an excuse! He had no comebacks when he was confronted by his own failures and his talking points sounded patently false in the face of the truth.
    He did seem irked and smirky at having this . . . this challenger . . . this . . . this mere Republican . . . !!!!!!! . . . schooling him! How dare he confront the president!!!!!
Gee, AlGore, Barry goes everywhere begging for money and never has any trouble staying on message! Whatsa matter?? Too much golf?

    • stinkfoot on October 5, 2012 at 12:49 am

Petulance does not lend itself well to the art of debate.?

Obama met The Stormin Mormon(Cavuto nickname)

  10. Anne-EH on October 4, 2012 at 4:26 pm

To answer your question SOS, yes I did see the debate last night, online and what I saw was a debate between a REAL leader (Gov. Mitt Romney) vs. a PRETENDER of a leader, (President Barack Obama). It turned out that the REAL leader, Gov. Mitt Romney showed that he has what it takes to be President of the United States.?

Can you say “President-Elect Mitt Romney” SOS??

  11. PatRiot on October 4, 2012 at 7:47 pm

This just in….. Found on the MSM editing room floors is the next sound bite by Al Gore.
“Global warming…no, that’s not it. Cap and Trade…Yesss! Had Cap and Trade passed, Obama?would have had plenty of oxygen to win this debate.”??

  12. Gary J on October 4, 2012 at 7:59 pm

I saw our leader with his head hung in shame……………..or was it lack of knowledge?

    • PatRiot on October 4, 2012 at 8:46 pm

It was lack of facts and common sense to support his ideology.
Scientific theory states that proof of hypothosis (ideology)?is repeatable success….?

    • PatRiot on October 4, 2012 at 8:47 pm

In plain english: reality smacked him upside the head.

  13. cherwin on October 4, 2012 at 8:00 pm

There are only three ways Obama is comfortable talking.
    1. Prepared speech with teleprompter.
    2. Community organizer in front of his groupies.
    3. Among his?Hollywood friends or rappers.?
    Otherwise he is lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????

  14. Vizionmusic on October 4, 2012 at 10:14 pm

Look…. I totally believe that the Lying Liberal Media will contrive SOMEthing to stop Romney… ?It could be as easy as simply IGNORING a true Romney win at the polls and ANNOUNCING Obumma won… ?

  15. ricbee on October 4, 2012 at 11:20 pm

That was Obumma at his best.

  16. Lynn on October 5, 2012 at 6:51 am

Ok, I love the passion here. But please, I beg you, stay true to Governor Romney. Media Matters and their filthy ilk will do all they can to take him down. Take a page from the Democrats and stay firm with your friends. Governor Romney is a strong, intelligent, and just plain great man. Remember his words from this debate and don’t back down.

  17. Marilyn on October 5, 2012 at 8:34 am

SOS, you will have to watch the next debate, it will be a knee slapper.

  18. JBS on October 5, 2012 at 8:38 am

Well said, all! I do so hope that we are seeing the end of the carefully constructed facade that is Barack Hussein Obama. He is totally a media construction. There is nothing real about him. The first mask-piece of a truly ugly man has fallen away. He is not invincible. His ideologies are false and treacherous. He has no substance.
    ?
He is merely an empty suit in an empty chair with tired, discredited ideas desperately trying to hang onto power. His policies have produced only despair and disaster — and millions of dollars for his friends.
    ?
I am waiting for the media, the LSM,? to turn on him.

  19. Dimsdale on October 5, 2012 at 8:44 am

I think that the new theory, that he had a Choom Gang reunion prior to the debate, is true.
    ?
Now, off his Xanax or whatever, ?bama is calling Romney a liar, the “fact checkers” are trying to pull apart his performance, and the spinners are figuratively drilling themselves into the ground trying to? cover for the abysmal performance of their guy.
    ?
On a brighter side, Sununu said he was just lazy, which nearly caused Andrea Mitchell’s head to explode!?? I am sure that debate prep won’t “be a drag” for the ?bamateur this time (http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/259641-obama-calls-debate-prep-a-drag – read it again with hindsight!? It’s hilarious!)!

  20. Dimsdale on October 5, 2012 at 8:45 am

Great.? Now I have to figure out which word triggered moderation of my last comment……? ;-(

    • JBS on October 5, 2012 at 10:17 am

      Welcome to the club!
My comments are usually moderated out of hand. It may be the result of a program algorithm or it may be a trigger word.?
      Let’s see. I’ll try: Democrat!
You can’t spell Democrat without a rat!

It’s hard to cover Pinocchio’s nose.?

      I think his ears grow….?? 😉

  22. Murphy on October 5, 2012 at 11:57 am

It wasn’t the altitude, Barrack stopped by a dispensary to campaign and forget not to inhale.

    • stinkfoot on October 5, 2012 at 12:28 pm

      Perhaps he forgot to exhale.

  23. Tim-in-Alabama on October 8, 2012 at 3:09 pm

    He’s dumb.

  24. JBS on October 8, 2012 at 5:30 pm

AlSharptone is out there spinning all sorts of excuses — he’s t too sensitive to get down. SNL sliced and diced Barry.
Truly a thing of beauty to behold.?
Next, let’s see how entertaining Biden (groan!) is going to be in the VP debates! I can almost feel sorry for Gaffer Joe.
    NAH!!!

  25. Moe on October 10, 2012 at 11:27 am

Of course he was affected by the altitude.
    Aren’t all airheads?
Also, after seeing that picture of Biden with that biker chick,
I’m hoping they’ve got him sequestered on a plane 5,000 feet up just before the debate.?Would be a “hell of a shew”. He might even drool.
