We the people…
Yesterday on the floor of the House of Representatives members read the United States Constitution. I have heard that this is the first time in our history that this has happened. Although a few on the left scorned this process, criticism seemed to dim almost daily. Maybe it is time for all of us to read it as well.
Should you not have a copy, here is a The United States Constitution and all Amendments. Take the time to read it. The Constitution is remarkable in it’s simplicity. The same fundamental principles that guided a rag-tag collection of “colonies” to enact this document and form this country are still applicable today…if only our government would heed them.
Once it does, “we the people” will again have meaning.

Maybe we should all download them before the internet comes under the control of the government. (I'm not sure if I kidding or not.)
I tried to read it, but all those words are over 100 years old. And… the words internet, online, and cable news are not even in it, so how does this apply to us?

They also had no idea what the word welfare means. It says nothing about sending checks to those who can't provide for themselves.
While I was listening to the show today, it struck me that Congress doesn't know the meaning of Defense either. Maybe Congress should explain the meanings of the words in the Constitution.
I'm afraid we need to have more consideration for Political correctness, now shall be known as PC. Only an educator would expect Congresscritters to receive a 90% on a quiz about the Constitution. Don't you realize that those who do not make 90% will FEEL bad. I think that we need an open book test and that they only need to get 60%. Congresscritters are under a lot of strain, its so exhausting to explain why they are doing the People's Work to pass Obamacare and the pesky people just are too stupid to understand.
Wow!? A thoughtfully considered document that didn’t need 2000 or 3000 pages of exceptions and political payback.

Now there needs to be a quiz administered to the Congresscritters to see if they actually understand it, and not allow them to vote until they pass the test (with at least a “90” for a score!).
