Update: North Carolina “don’t criticize Obama” teacher suspended with pay

Honestly, my headline is totally misleading, but that’s how it’s being reported. The student was not criticizing Obama, he was pointing out Obama admitted to bullying a girl when he was in school. Because the teacher has blinders on, she was deaf to the actual point. Now, she’s suspended with pay.

What else could the school system do? My original point stands, this classroom sound like it’s out-of-control and the teacher sounds like she’s way underwater. Anyway, suspended she is.

A teacher at a Rowan County school has been suspended after getting national attention for a YouTube video video that surfaced last week showing her yelling at her students, saying it’s wrong to criticize the president.

In the YouTube video, North Rowan High School teacher Tonya Dixon-Neely and her students were debating several political issues, including a discussion about President Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

She’s a lefty that in my opinion is a bully that does not seem to have control of her classroom.

Watch for new rules prohibiting the recording of classroom activities since it was the fact that the video garnered national attention and not the fact that teacher was a constitutionally ignorant brainwashing leftie extremist that precipitated the suspension.

Do you think the Southern Poverty Law Center would be interested in taking action?
      LOL!

A white high school student refuses to worship Obama… could be a budding terrorist.? I have little doubt they’d be willing to take whatever case could be conjured up.? Frankly the students demonstrated a far better grasp of what the first amendment is about than the taxpayer funded hack who? is institutionally charged with the task of indoctrinating them to become obedient little leftists.
      ?
It’s nice to see evidence that politicians recognize children as our most valuable resource because there’s so much effort afoot to corrupt and exploit their minds.? A start in reversing this would be for large groups of parents band together and find out what’s being taught in the classroom.

Of course…”with pay”.? Any one of the rest of us who proved to be that incredibly ignorant and inept–and didn’t have a union to cover our Peter Principled butts–would be fired for performing our jobs so poorly without the benefit of pay.
And this is why the public education system in this country is such an abysmal joke.

Look for the administration to find some rule in their CYA Manual that says students can’t have electronic gadgets (written when calculators were first on the market) in the classroom. With that edict in hand, they will then suspend the student who did the recording. He won’t get paid, though. Institutional revenge.
New rules are being formulated as we speak. Liberals, bah!

One wonders how the Malloy administrations new education rules would apply here.
