Trifecta for tyranny, Part Deux

We posted what follows on November 11, 2010.  In light of recent events, perhaps it is time to repeat it.  Guns…Fast and Furious, wealth…the rich aren’t paying their fair share, religion…

I received what follows from a very good friend.  It is too topical and powerful to keep to myself.

There are basically three things that give us power over our government, our religion, our guns, and our wealth … Ultimately, through such political sleight of hand, the three things that give us our power over our government are rendered powerless — the tyrant’s trifecta.

Read it all. The connection of the three, and the systematic attack is stunning, not to mention scary.

The stealth confiscation of your God given liberties has been underway for some time, says the author. An amazing reminder that freedom requires vigilance and a willingness to fight for your freedoms.

There are basically three things that give us power over our government, our religion, our guns, and our wealth.  Religion gives us power because it maintains the notion that our rights are provided by our creator, not a king, elected body, or a document.  The rights that we, as individuals, possess transcend any edict passed by other men, and, thus, they cannot be taken from us by man or government.  It is worth mentioning, here, that while bowing may be customary when meeting heads of state around the world, in America, we bow only in places of worship.

Our guns give us the ability to defend ourselves against errant governmental authorities should such authorities attempt to deprive us of our rights.

And, finally, our wealth makes possible our financial independence from government lest we are tempted to surrender our rights in exchange for sustenance.

With these three things, it would be very difficult for tyranny to establish itself in our nation.  Without these things, however, we become little more than fodder for tyrants.  That is why I worry.

It is no secret that for years there have been those in government who have gone through great pain to eradicate any mention of God or Creator or religion from public policy.  Prayer is disallowed in schools or public buildings, religious displays are banned, even the Pledge of Allegiance has been all but eliminated from national thought.  Recently, President Obama, speaking on two separate occasions, misquoted our Declaration of Independence by stating that we are “endowed with unalienable rights”, omitting the phrase “by our creator”.  Call me crazy, but, I believe that was no accident.  The same President has been telling us for two years that the government will provide the “right to health care”, among other things, thus advancing the notion that rights come not from our Creator, but from the government.  Note the subtlety here, the goal is not to ban religion, but to trivialize it.

On the subject of guns, it has been obvious for decades that many in our government wished the Second Amendment had never been written, and have been working feveriously to whittle away at our right to keep and bear arms wherever and whenever they can (for our own protection, mind you).  Again, we are reminded of the President’s quote while on the campaign trail that we, out of fear and ignorance, desperately cling to our guns and religion.  There he trivializes both the First and Second Amendments in a single sentence.

But what of our wealth?  Sure they can tax us, but they cannot take away what we’ve already been taxed on, and have managed to save, can they?  Well, maybe not directly.  But what if they were to create massive deficits, so massive, in fact, that there would be no way our nation could repay our debtors.  Under such conditions it might become tempting to pay those debts through “monitization”.  Of course, the long term effect of printing money is inflation, or as Reagan put it, the cruelest tax of all.  No, the government may not take our wealth away, but it can make it worth less, or even, worthless.

Ultimately, through such political sleight of hand, the three things that give us our power over our government are rendered powerless — the tyrant’s trifecta.

But, they wouldn’t take advantage of that, would they?

Hum, think about that.

Religion, guns and wealth.? Historically, the despots, dictators and other tyrants were up front and honest about seizing these instruments of liberty.? The communists are prime examples.

Don’t forget Amsterdam – no radios and no bikes for communication and transportation.? Stop Fox, curtail the internet (like what has just happened in Iran), and make gas so expensive one cannot afford to drive great distances.? The Jews and Christians are already being smeared.? Obama has told a private company that they have to give a good or service away for free.? Read The Shadow Party to see what happens next.? Occupy is mentioned.? Of course, it was written in 2006 but it IS the playbook for what is happening today.? Soros and all.

    1) The O is a Marxist. Sorry apologists, but the preponderance of the facts support this.
    2) Communism only works through systematized oppression under the guise of wealth redistribution, laws that are for our “own good” and “humanitarianism”.
    3) It’s all a lie. It has never worked and never will. The only people enriched in any way are sociopaths and the elite, who will fight to the death to keep their lifestyles over your smoking bones. ?

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” – Thomas Jefferson.? Is it time?? Is it too late?

We can’t just give up, can we?

To give up, ?is to throw our children into slavery.

If you have a conscience, about what to do,? think about what has already been done for you. Freedom takes blood to win and maintain itself. Yesterday it was someone else, today it may be you. Cowards die many times over.

Reagan correctly identified inflation as the cruelest tax. That alone makes money and property worth less. If the Dems win in November, you can look to inflation, which is low right now, to start to climb. ?bama won’t do a thing about that, *Inflation is a market thing.* The monied elite will profit from that. Meanwhile, people can’t sell their houses.
?bama is already very much on the record as opposed to private ownership of firearms. From his time with the Annenberg Foundation, where he was a Board member,? and the Joyce Foundation (funneling money to Brady), to ?bama’s signing of the UN’s International Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) and most recently, the Fast and Furious debacle, ?bama is no friend of gun owners. As a lawyer, he has worked tirelessly against the Second Amendment. More precisely, he is toxic to the idea of individual firearms ownership.

“Obama?s arrival in the White House helped to generate record gun sales in 2009. Gun sales were up in the U.S. during 2011. 2012 promises to be just as good or even better. In January 2012, the National Shooting Sports Foundation?s (NSSF) adjusted National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) numbers showed an increase of 17.3 percent in gun purchase related checks compared to the same time period the previous year. January marks 20 straight months of increased NICS report requests.” http://www.gunsandammo.com/2012/02/13/why-gun-sales-are-on-the-rise-in-2012/

SOS, could we not add a 4th pillar of freedom over our government?? And, that would be the press and freedom of expression but, the erosion of such into the hands and playbook of a tyrant only exasperates the fear of freedom-keepers.? At what point will the last vestiges of conservative talk (radio, internet blogs, FoxNews) be silenced?? Tomorrow, next week, next month, next year?? The Fairness Act was stopped only by the success of the 2010 election.? Had the election not resulted in the largest shift in history, I don’t believe I would be typing these words today.
