Time photos – Executions in Syria

Not a lot to write here. The executions continue in Syria, and photo-journalists are capturing barbaric moments in time. On July 1, I wrote about François Murad, a Catholic priest who was executed in Syria by the jihadist group Jabhat al-Nusra. Yesterday, Time Magazine posted an article and photos from an execution – one of four – captured digitally on Aug. 31.

From Time.

I don’t know how old the victim was but he was young. He was forced to his knees. The rebels around him read out his crimes from a sheet of paper. They stood around him. The young man was on his knees on the ground, his hands tied. He seemed frozen.

Two rebels whispered something into his ear and the young man replied in an innocent and sad manner, but I couldn’t understand what he said because I don’t speak Arabic.

At the moment of execution the rebels grasped his throat. The young man put up a struggle. Three or four rebels pinned him down. The man tried to protect his throat with his hands, which were still tied together. He tried to resist but they were stronger than he was and they cut his throat. They raised his head into the air. People waved their guns and cheered. Everyone was happy that the execution had gone ahead.

That scene in Syria, that moment, was like a scene from the Middle Ages, the kind of thing you read about in history books. The war in Syria has reached the point where a person can be mercilessly killed in front of hundreds of people—who enjoy the spectacle.

The reason why I completely ignore people who speak of so-called “American atrocities” and conditions at Gitmo is because they never, EVER, bring up events like this that happen over and over, and completely ignore how women are treated in the Islamic Fundamentalist world.

The images are bad, but you will not see anyone decapitated and you will not see blood. Time elected not to publish those photographs, but rather post the first-hand description from the photo-journalist provided above.

How about devoting a bit of time on the topic of 150 children kidnapped and slaughtered by the rebels that Obama supports… whose photos were shown- complete with numbers of the foreheads and described as victims of Assad’s alleged WMD attacks.? The bodies were recognized by families in Latakia which is about 124 miles from Ghouta, where the alleged attack took place.? Funny how Obama et al seem to not find the absence of grieving families or the disproportionate number of children to the population odd.? I am left to infer some degree of complicity with this by our supposedly compassionate Criminal in Chief.

The “hurry up and wait” approach to diplomacy/threats by the ?bama regime is ridiculous.? The build up to the “incredibly small” bombings etc. was based on the the premise that people were dying by the minute and we couldn’t afford to wait, at least until it became clear that ?bama and Kerry had no support, then, all of a sudden, we could wait until Congress came back into session and debated the issue (and share the blame).? It doesn’t look like either side has slowed their atrocities.
    ?
    This regime reeks of incompetence.
