Tea Party Express, Hartford

Welcome Free Republic readers and thank you. Please also take a moment to read this post on Chris Dodd.

Callers yesterday put the number at anywhere from 1000 to 2000 and the Courant is reporting 1500 (more on that article in another post). Amazing considering the rain and the time of day. You make a little mobster proud.

RVO Chatter Darlene (and now official Tea Party reporter) sent me these pics (via her Facebook page) from yesterday’s Tea party in Hartford. You can see more there. Sorry I could not be there but … well … I was working. But it looks like “a good time was had all all.” Rain was not about to stop New England patriots from turning out.

But this one is my personal favorite. Faith is beautiful drenched … but the dump Dodd sign is a nice touch.

Oh … and she wanted to make sure you all got to hear this. Enjoy!

Jim, the visit of the Tea Party Express buses and the Tea Party at the State Capitol yesterday was a great show of unity and force not only for CT, but for New England and the USA. Jim, even if you could not be there physically you were their spirit. Regardless of the numbers, the turnout is a reminder that there is still patriots out there who are not afraid to be a part of history and of taking back this country. Also thanks Darlene for taking those excellent pictures. Despite the heavy downpours and the cutting short of the Tea Party rally, I got to speak from the heart a very brief version of my prepared speech, an oral summary of the call to be patriots in 2009 and beyond. :)=^..^=
