The IRS is supposed to simply implement the tax law as written and of course investigate while enforcing the tax code. Similar to law enforcement activity, the IRS can’t just change the ‘probable cause’ rules of investigation on a case-by-case basis. The IRS – at the highest level – outright targeted TEA Party groups because they didn’t like them.
I’m not sure what to say here. Normally, I’m not surprised by how whacky some liberals are … but this is really over the edge. In a Rasmussen poll of 1,000 likely voters, those who strongly approve of President Obama feel the TEA Party is a bigger terrorist threat than radical Muslims.
About 10 months ago, Illinois passed what some believe to be the largest tax increase in the state’s history. This was on top of a tax rate in Illinois that already was one of the highest in the country. I don’t know whether Governor Pat Quinn (D.) followed this up by proudly announcing that Ilinois was open for business, but, if he did, it isn’t working out too well. Read more
Again, another celebrity that has a problem with the TEA party since they are obviously racists. What else could it be? President Obama is black, and the TEA party wants to ensure he is not elected for a second term … so they want him out because he’s black.
In a strange way it’s kind of a backhanded compliment. The tea party has been poked, prodded, investigated like some kind of lab experiment. We’ve been defined degraded and at least the left is attempted to discard us, but it’s hard to discard the will of the majority of the American people and that’s why no matter what the left is done our mission continues.
