Rasmussen Poll: Blumenthal loses 10 points to McMahon in two weeks

By Steve McGough / May 19, 2010 /

New poll from Rasmussen this morning. The poll was taken yesterday, but it’s not clear what time the poll started or completed. The poll included 500 likely voters in Connecticut, and had a margin of error of 4.5 percent. That means – as of this morning – it’s a dead heat between Blumenthal and McMahon.

By Steve McGough / October 15, 2010 /

Interesting. The margin of error for this Rasmussen poll is 4 points, after surveying 750 likely voters in Connecticut the two days after the most recent – and last – McMahon vs. Blumenthal debate. Blumenthal 51 percent, McMahon 46 percent, while 4 percent are undecided or want someone else.

Blumenthal staffer says the AG repeatedly told the Vietnam lie

By Jim Vicevich / June 7, 2010 /

The other shoe just dropped and it was not just a few misplaced words. An Assistant AG in Blumenthal’s office says he heard Blumenthal make the claim on several occasions. But there’s so much more and frankly, it’s shameful. The reporter breaking the story is news veteran George Gombassy and he will be a guest at…

Chris Matthews tells Connecticut: I wouldn’t vote for Blumenthal

By Jim Vicevich / May 28, 2010 /

Hey, this is from the Democrats, democrat. The conversation starts over the latest Q poll and Matthews wonders why people in Connecticut support a “lier”. Matthews doesn’t buy the apology and can’t quite figure out why the polls show him with such a big lead. Me too.

The Evolution of Richard Blumenthal

By Dave in EH / May 18, 2010 /

Apparently, Richard Blumenthal’s Icarus-like plunge was a long time coming… “Former Representative Christopher Shays of Connecticut, a Republican who says he is a good friend of Richard Blumenthal’s, said in an interview Tuesday that he had watched with worry as Mr. Blumenthal gradually embellished his military record over the years. As prominent Democrats in the…

Blumenthal: No apology and “Don’t impugn my service”. UPDATE: “Unaware” – Video

By Jim Vicevich / May 18, 2010 /

Actually, I think its just the opposite. It is he, I think, who impugns the service of other Vietnam veterans. But it is the classic case of smoke and mirrors and setting up the straw man. Oh, and get ready you vets for the second video here. Prepare to blow a lid or two. When…

VIDEO: Blumenthal waxes poetically about his Vietnam Service

By Jim Vicevich / May 18, 2010 /

Great little piece of video. Richard Blumenthal clearly states he served in Vietnam. The money line comes at 40 seconds in. The video is dated March of 2008.

They are “magically” dangerous.

By Jim Vicevich / October 22, 2009 /

Please. Stop. Just stop it. I’m not stupid. I know me Lucky Charms are not magic. I know Frosted Flakes are not …”Greaaaat” for you. I know Count Chocula isn’t a real monster and Tricks aren’t just for kids. Stop it pleaseeeeee. The federal government is wading into the supermarket aisle, making its first effort…

Redux – the economics of the minimum wage – McMahon vs Blumenthal Senate race

By Steve McGough / October 7, 2010 /

Since Jim’s discussing the minimum wage this morning – and looking for callers to argue against his point of view on the topic – I figured I would provide a few links to past posts here on Radio Vice Online concerning the minimum wage.
