December 7 Navy SEAL court-martial protest

Today we honor the 68th anniversary the bombing of Pearl Harbor. 2400 sailors and Marines lost their lives that day. It is ironic then that on this solemn anniversary the United States Navy chooses to arraign three Navy Seals in preparation of their Court Martial. Here’s Steve’s post just to refresh your memory:

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told

The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called a captain’s mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

Today, outraged citizens in the Tidewater area will be holding a protest at the Norfolk Naval base where the three will be arraigned. From

This is a complete outrage and mockery of our US Military. As Americans, we CANNOT stand for this and MUST show our support for our troops who are constantly being put in harms way to protect the country that is now bring them under fire. We must send a message that “political correctness” has reached a boiling point and that these service men will not be hung out to dry.

I ask everyone, within reason, to take to Norfolk, VA on Dec 7 and send a message loud and clear that we stand behind them.

They are also asking if you can’t make it to the protest … please … let the Navy know how you feel.

Navy SEALs charged with abuse in Iraq – My lip is bleeding!

Oh for crying out loud. Three Navy SEALs face assault charges after they captured Ahmed Hashim Abed, who is suspected as being the ringleader of the March 2004 planned ambush on four Blackwater contractors who were involved in a support mission to deliver food.
