Hope & Change: HSA participants see tax increases, drug costs to go up
Obama lied. Today, those of you with health savings accounts (HSAs) – originally promoted by congress-critters and the federal government as a great way to reduce medical costs – are paying more for over-the-counter medications and prescriptions.

Continuing the theme of journalists who just don’t get it and/or always have their head two feet deep in the sand … we’ve got a Washington Post columnist who thinks the United States Constitution is just too damn hard to understand since it was written so long ago. This guy is pathetic.
Read MoreWaiver on the way? Union cuts health care coverage for dependents
At first read, this seems to be a complex case, so let’s not all jump on the “it’s Obamacare” bandwagon, even though part of the problem is the new health care legislation. A “low-wage” health attendant union – an affiliate of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) – will be dropping coverage for its member’s…
Read MoreDocs sick of the Medicare cut threats – what would you do?
Here we go again. Physicians are trying to plan for a possible 23 percent Medicare reimbursement cut. Or maybe no cut at all. Physicians are running a business. They have employees, rent, insurance and utilities payments. Make the system too difficult to work with, and they look for options.

What small and large businesses both have more difficulty with…
Read MoreDoctor shortage amplified with Obama health care system
Eleven months ago, I wrote about the future physician shortage mentioned in the Wall Street Journal. This was prior to the passage of the Democrat-owned health care legislation and nobody wanted to discuss the issue. A study by the Association of American Medical Colleges notes the shortage will now be worse than expected.
Read MoreObama lied: Health care legislation increases taxes (HSA & FSA changes)
I received a letter today. The bank holding our health savings account (HSA) funds reminded us we will pay upwards of 30 percent more for my over the counter medications as of Jan. 1, 2011. Obama lied, he said taxes would not go up for any family making less than $250,000 per year.
