Reagan didn’t need to be tested

By Steve McGough / October 22, 2008 /

After Biden’s comment about Obama being tested within the first six months if elected, I noted that the vice presidential candidate mentioned Kennedy – most likely referring to the Cuban missile Crisis – but didn’t mention other more recent presidents that were tested.

G.W. Bush approval rating average was 37% in second term

By Steve McGough / October 10, 2013 /

Just a reminder. President Bush’s (43) approval average during his second term was 37 percent, reaching a low point of 25 percent sometime during the fall of 2008, right around election time. The main stream press had totally and completely bought into the Bush Derangement Syndrome by mid-2006 when his approval rating was around 40…

They are not the ‘Bush tax cuts’ anymore

By Steve McGough / December 1, 2010 /

I agree with AJ Strata at The Strata-Sphere. Why the heck are we even referring to the “Bush tax cuts?” Sure, we can do that when referring to what happened after the tax cuts in 2001 and 2003, but at this point – eight to 10 years later – any change to the tax code…

The Gulf oil spill: It’s Bush’s fault … continuuuuued

By Jim Vicevich / June 7, 2010 /

The Sunday Morning talk shows were a blame game fest and frankly at this point it’s become obnoxious. Don’t you think. But the facts are simple … someone should tell these clowns Bush is not in charge of the clean-up … Obama is. He said so.

By Jim Vicevich / March 26, 2010 /

By Steve McGough / July 22, 2009 /

Gosh, that was terrible. A sitting vice president – with close ties to the oil community – having the gaul to meet with oil and other energy executives in private to discuss the energy crisis. Democrats often pointed to Vice President Cheney’s meetings as part of the problem, promising transparency in the future. Well as…

Watching how the military reacts to the president

By Steve McGough / March 5, 2009 /

I’ll let this video stand on it’s own without serious analysis, but I do find it interesting how the Marines reacted to visits from President Bush and more recently, President Obama. Sister Toldjah and I have a similar opinion. Maybe it’s the types of events that determines the reactions? I find the contrasts in the…

Adios and God Speed

By Jim Vicevich / January 20, 2009 /

The Obama address aside, at least when they were together both President Obama and President Bush seemed to like each other very much. They are, after all, both members of a very exclusive club. Here is a portion of the speech given this evening by now former President Geroge Bush on his return to Texas. It…
