Yup. Charles Krauthammer is right. I’m not sure that I have ever seen such wide-spread media bias in my lifetime. The 16 news headlines and ledes I documented on Monday were just the tip of the iceberg, and the faithful are swallowing the meme whole … the mean guys on the Supreme Court are taking away your birth control.
On Special Report last night, Charles Krauthammer reminded us the Simpson Bowles Commission identified federal tax
loopholes and deductions that totaled more than $1 trillion every year.
During the All Star Panel last night, Bret Baier was asking about the GOP’s “most discussed” list when it comes the 2012 Republican ticket. Haley Barbour, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann and The Donald were mentioned by Charles Krauthammer. CK took quite a swing at Donald Trump. Video after the jump.
Disgraceful! Charles apparently didn’t get the President’s new civility memo. Heh! Read more
It’s the Democrats he’s talking about, mostly because they are in charge, with huge majorities. But wait there’s more. Vast numbers of that huge majority sided with the Republicans … retain the Bush Tax rates across the board for the people and the people that employ the people. Bipartisan! Maybe that’s why CK calls the Democrats incompetent. Or maybe, its just because they are. Read more
I wish I could say I came up with the headline but I did not. It’s from the SOS. The proposed Obama tax credits for business are getting some kudos from the right but I believe it is knee jerk because there is nothing to celebrate here. The tax credits are short term stimuli not unlike the cash for clunkers program, all the while masquerading as a sop to the Republicans while still leaving control with the state and the statists. Mrs. James Carville gets it and so does … well of course he does … Charles Krauthammer. Read more
Your Charles Krauthammer moment. But first give me a few paragraphs to set up today’s GS hearings. I will not defend Goldman Sachs. But what occurred in today’s Senate hearings today was a day of nonsense. Once again the Senate dodges its role and responsibility by demonizing another. In the past it was AIG, BOA and Merrill Lynch. Today it was Goldman Sachs. Read more
Your daily dose of Krauthammer. Charles analyzes all of the Democrat options on health care if Scott Brown wins tomorrow in the Bay State. None of them are good. But why spoil the fun … the headline says it all.
If you have friends up the road. Call them. Please. We need to stop this health care bill. Please. That’s not just a political statement. It’s personal now.
Jim Geraghty brings this to our attention, regarding the trial of KSM in New York.
[The AG] should refrain from calling his upcoming legal proceeding “the trial of the century,” since the last “trial of the century” ended in an acquittal.
He is of course paraphrasing Charles Krauthammer who always nails it.
President Obama is letting foreign policy take a back seat in his attempt to remake the United States into his own vision of a utopia, admired by United Nations diplomats. Krauthammer calls out Obama on his commitment to winning in Afghanistan. While friends and family are shot at in A-stan, Obama preps for speeches to school kids, Sunday talk shows, and Letterman.
