State of Connecticut Not Better after Tax Hikes

By TomTGRWolcott / June 24, 2012 /

I am amazed that the lights are still on here in the great state of Connecticut.  What even amazes me more is that this state after the largest tax increase in history by the Malloy Administration has still resulted in a deficit.

Media describes Palin budget increase as cut

By Steve McGough / September 3, 2008 /

Slashed funding. Budget cuts. Reduction in needed services. Increased class sizes. Shorter library hours. All of these statements are code words used by the liberal left to scare the crap out of senior citizens, school parents and unions. If you don’t agree to tax increases, your precious services – that can only be provided by…

Connecticut, what are you doing with your money? UPDATE

By SoundOffSister / May 4, 2011 /

Yesterday, the Connecticut legislature passed a $40.1 billion dollar budget. Of course, it isn’t balanced but, Governor Malloy “hopes” to get $2 billion in concessions from the unions, after which, the budget will balance.  It includes some $2 billion in increased taxes including a “temporary” corporate tax surcharge on a 7.5% corporate tax rate.

By Steve McGough / February 17, 2011 /

Oh come on now. President Obama’s own budget clearly shows there will be a deficit for years to come. For the next couple of years, we’re talking about $1 trillion-plus each year. Somehow, the president and Jay Carney, the new White House spokesperson, wants you to believe those future deficits do not mean they are…

Gov. Christie to school administrator … “Let me help you pack”

By Steve McGough / November 14, 2010 /

As school administrator contracts expire in New Jersey, employees will be subject to a salary cap. Of course, if you’re contract is about to expire and you’re making more than the proposed cap, that means a pay cut. To keep the high-paid administrators on staff at the current (or higher) salaries, school boards are suggesting…

Your Krauthammer Moment: No tax cuts, no budget, they’re incompetent

By Jim Vicevich / September 30, 2010 /

It’s the Democrats he’s talking about, mostly because they are in charge, with huge majorities. But wait there’s more. Vast numbers of that huge majority sided with the Republicans … retain the Bush Tax rates across the board for the people and the people that employ the people. Bipartisan! Maybe that’s why CK calls the…
