Steele to Obama: Up or down baby … pass the bill …

Stop whining and own the damn thing. It’s your bill, your program, you have the votes … do it.

Now this is the Michael Steele I was hoping for. As we detailed today Obama loves the blame game. First it was greedy tonsil pulling foot chopping doctors, then it was all of us. You know, those Nazi, unpatriotic, stupid, Brooks Brothers wearing mobster terrorists. Then, jumping right over big pharma, he blamed the insurance companies, followed by all of us un-Christian Christians, closing yesterday in true Alinsky style … by blaming the Republicans.

Well RNC Chair Mike Steele had just about had enough. The Democrats control the Congress,60 votes in the Senate and the White House. Step to the plate baby, you got the votes. The Republicans can’t stop a damn thing. Pass the bill if you dare.

But they can’t … or they will lose the House. So here’s the strategy. Break up the bill … not just to pass it but to allow weenie (or is it we wee?) blue dogs to vote no and save their seats.

Allah at Hot Air has a nice take on this as well.

Maybe Ted Kennedy can just write a letter to the Congress and change all the rules so it can pass and all the blame goes on the Republicans…

Anything for the last son of the Kennedy crime family…

I like Mr Steel. He works hard and interviews well. Mr Steel has better taste in suits and is better spoken that Mr. Biden's friend and has a cleaner conscience. Often times I fear Republicans grab hold of a black man like some cardboard cut out and prop him in the window of high office for the sole purpose of proving we are not racist. The party then suffers from inexperienced less capable people representing our needs. Mr. Steel is a genuine talent. He truely believes in limited government. He understands the abuse big government imposes on our freedoms and liberty. He knows my concern that Bush family policies have betrayed the common man who want a government that lives simply so that others may simply live. I trust Mr. Steel and thank him for his service.

I like Steele's stance on this and agree.  You want it Mr. President, then own it!  The scary part is that I don't think Obama really cares if he is behind the poison because once its here there will be no turning back.  Just like every other government backed program.

I’m desperately wants to see a public option to keep insurance companies honest.
That said I must agree with Steele’s sentiment. A lot of us on the left feel that Obama has dropped the ball on this bill.
76% support a public plan in a reform bill. Why can’t Obama do what?s best for the U.S?
He’s so intent on bipartisanship (with a recalcitrant opposition) that he’s lost site of what AMERICANS want.
