I predict that the House does not approve this… tax hikes aren’t high enough and the permanent nature of the so-called “Bush tax cuts” will be unacceptable to Democrats.

The lack of spending cuts is not palatable to House Republicans- they aren’t going to pass the bill.? Senate Democrats knew it when they wrote it- this is all a charade to ensure the Republicans take the blame for what Obama and the liberals likely intended to happen in the first place.? Obama gets his wish if the economy tanks.

Neither the Dems nor the Repubs are going to get what they want. It’s gridlock and the country will move forward regardless.

Funny how on the very last second they were somehow able to magically come up with 157 pages of pork- err… legislation

…Which was presented to the Senate which voted it in overwhelmingly without reading it!

At least the Stock Market likes it.

The markets like it today but will they still feel the same about it tomorrow?? Reacting to what’s not going to happen now is different from dealing with the long term consequences.? The stock market represents an impulse reaction these days.

Have it your way, but I don’t mind (like Warren Buffet) paying capital gain taxes.
