Revenge of the Teleprompter Part Deux

Because you just can’t make this stuff up … from Sky News

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was just a few paragraphs into an address in Washington when he realised it all sounded a bit too familiar.

It was. He was repeating the speech President Barack Obama had just read from the same teleprompter.

Cowen stopped, turned to the president and said: “That’s your speech.”

A laughing Obama returned to the podium to take over but it seems the script had finally been switched and the US president ended up thanking himself for inviting everyone to the party.

Obama is an accomplished orator but is becoming known in America as the “teleprompt president” over his reliance on the machine when he gives a speech.

Which brings to mind this from Iowahawk? … remember.

BTW … the AP’s headline this morning on the same speech

Begorra! Irish PM trips over White House speech

The President’s bungle not mentioned until the last graph. Ughhh.

Obviously, St. Patrick's Day was being well-celebrated in advance of the press conference 🙂

I have a clear conscious these days.  I proudly state that every politician I have voted for the last two National Elections cycles have lost.

So, for you insane morons out there that keep voting for the same Reps and Senators, you only have yourself to blame.  Yeah, Obot was running for the first time, he was not re-elected.  Seriously, when Obama said that he campainged in all 57 states……didn't a light go off in your head…..hhmmmm…..not eve a little concern with the "mattter" between the ears.

There is no casting for Dumb & Dumber.  Stop applying.

Why do they even bother to call it a telePROMPTER in Obambi's case?  Prompting is a place keeper, a reminder of what you are planning to say.  In Obambi's case, he clearly doesn't know what he is supposed to say ahead of time; it is just a direct feed from "the man behind the curtain," be it Emmanuel, Axelrod or Soros.

If he knew what he was going to say, either by actually reading the speech ahead of time, or (God forbid) he actually wrote, or contributed to the writing of, his speech, prompting would be all he would need to continue his speech.  If he knew, or better, actually believed what he was saying, he would be able to gloss over any discontinuity in the teleprompter feed.

Remember when the teleprompter feed failed during Sarah Palin's acceptance speech at the Republican convention?  She continued on and nobody (except those who knew the speech ahead of time) knew the difference.  She knew her speech.  Shouldn't the "great elocutor," the president of the HLR, the "intelligent" president Obama be able to do the same as the "lowly" Governor of Alaska?

Obambi is just lazy, relying on the work of others and teleprompters to do the hard work.  All he has to do is read and imitate "reverend" Wright in the delivery.  Obambi couldn't even get his inaugural oath right the first time, and all he had to do is repeat after Chief  Justice Roberts.  Lucky for him, he gets a pass from his flying monkeys in the press (Wizard of Oz reference for you knee jerk liberals).

Now just imagine the scenario that would be played out if this happened to President Bush…..

Wizard of Oz ref or not – the left will make any such comment into racism – they always do – you see we (Republicans and conservatives) are the racists – even they (liberal left) are always the ones to make everything about race.  It's as usual "Do as I say – not as I do" – you can't win with them.  Ooops – was that racist?
