Rest in peace Sound Off Mom

As many of you may now know, the Sound Off Mom passed away last week.  I wish that all of you could have met her.  She was remarkable in so many respects.

Somehow she convinced four children to go to college and achieve, all the while making her children believe that college and achievement were her children’s idea, not Mom’s.

Looking back, that was the essence of Mom.  She never urged or chastised or scorned.  Around her, one just knew what was right.  Her values were unshakable, and those values permeated all who were close to her.

Her great-granddaughter was born four days before she passed away.  Thanks to modern technology, she had a picture of her grand-daughter and great grand-daughter next to her hospital bed.  While she could, she showed anyone who came into the room that picture.  She was so proud.  That picture is now buried with her.

Thank you Mom for you.  You will always live on in the hearts and minds of your children, and your grand children.  And, I believe, anyone who had the pleasure of meeting you.

Thank you, SOS you have drawn a beautiful picture of your Mom with your words. The very best parents are those who raise their children to be strong, independent, ethical, moral and productive. It is very obvious, to those of us who read RVO that you and Jim were raised by the very best of parents. My condolences to you and Jim. I hope that your faith brings you comfort and peace.

so very sorry to hear about your mother–it is certainly the circle of life for the vicevich family; welcoming wee fi and marking the sound off mom’s deployment to the advance team in the next realm.?? i suspect that she will continue to work her magic, leading you on to join her much in the same way that she’s influenced you all along.? blessings for the sound off mom and the entire vicevich clan as you celebrate this exceptional american life.
