Republican Debate … and the winner is …..

Herman Cain? Well that’s what a Luntz focus group said … but it’s not the first time people have determined he’s the real deal. The former Pillsbury executive and the man who saved Godfather’s Pizza from bankruptcy seems to bringing a plain speaking common sense to the debate and he’s quickly picking up steam.

I just reviewed the debate this morning and I was impressed with his plain spoken performance. Here’s hid answer to the question on how to bring down energy prices. The crowd liked it for sure.

It’s that plain speaking that won over the focus group. H/T to JIm Hoft for this:

I’m a big fan. I just hope he can survive the beltway bashing the establishment repubs will dole out.

    Let’s see:

    Not a politician
    Has common sense answers
Knows what the truth is and does not?use “lawyer speak”
    Would make a great president

Yes, he won the debate but will the American people open their eyes?
He has my vote if he makes it.

Plainvillian, Love puns and love Cain. Hey we can even reuse McCain signs by removing Mc? or covering with either Pillsbury Dough Boy or? a pizza. But seriously, I have watched him refine his plans on Neil Cavuto for close to a year now. At first, I thought I could not take him seriously because A.he has never been elected and B.I was afraid people would just think it was pandering to have a black man run against another black man (sorry, but I am still using that term, because it is also used by my man Wayne Winsley.)
    ?
Now, I think those are both advantages. Republicans need minorities to run and vote. I personally will go to Bridgeport, Hartford and New Haven to sign up minorities to become voters. Republicans need a candidate and we need one now! I think we should have a primary using the Internet now.? I am with Cain all the way!

There is light at the end of this long presidential race that’s coming up fast!

Anyone of those 5 would draw circles around obama in their ability to make our country safer, encourage job growth, improve our honor and respect world-wide, etc.? I’d vote for anyone of them over Obama.? Conservative talk show hosts have kept up kvetching about how few Reps are worthy.? (You’ve not) They are buying into Alinsky’s Rules – state what you want the outcome to be.? Convince conservatives that there is no one to beat Obama – sounds like Joy and Babawawa.? Go Cain!!!

I searched this morning’s edition (5/6/2011) of The Hartford Courant and could not find any mention whatsoever of the Republican Presidential Debate in South Carolina. Did it really happen, or was I just hallucinating as usual while watching it on Fox News? Does The Hartford Courant have any intelligent editors on its staff, or do they all qualify as being indolent?

Tritone sam, either comment about the Hartford Courant? editors on its staff is correct. I used to read that paper cover to cover for years. Since they did nothing regarding the election results in Bridgeport, I stopped reading entirely. I now read the CT Post online, which has some wonderful bloggers. My favorite is Connecticut’s Conservative Capitalist, Wayne Winsley. They were the only CT newspaper to do a recount of Bridgeport and reported it well. Sorry, I did a plug for someone besides RVO, which as we all know is the best!
