Public service in Connecticut – legislators playing solitaire

Just so you don’t forget … here’s that picture of our esteemed legislators fiddling while Connecticut’s taxpayers burn. OK … sure its a $37 billion dollar budget that will mean tax increases for most people in Connecticut. Sure these card playing “public servants” have better things to do than actually listen to the debate on the bill that will affect all of us. But then again… these are Democrats … and its a Republican speaking.

legislators-solitaire-conneThe Courant has the picture and details at the Capital Watch blog. The photo was taken by AP photographer Jessica Hill and she deserves our thanks.

Oh, and by the way … the Journal Inquirer has identified our two card shark legislators as DEMOCRATS Barbara Lambert and Jack Hennessy. Send em a note … and let them know how much you appreciate their public service.

Not outraged…nothing surprises me any more regarding behavior of politicians.  Actually thought it was kind of funny, in a pathetic, give-up-totally-on-politicans, kind of a way.  But there should be accountability for wasting tax-payer time: their laptops should be confiscated (no doubt we paid for them) and they should have to be forced to sit through the endlesslhy boring speeches of Reid, Pelosi, and Obama as an after-work, detention  punishment.

We must enforce term limits.  With our votes.  Never, never, never vote for the incumbent!  Better yet to have election 'do-overs', but I dream.

Is the spider version of solitaire more difficult to play that the regular version? Give the lady a break I mean this is some serious gaming.  If she had any skills she would fire up the online poker. In fact I challenge any state legislator to a heads up online poker game.

Vote 'em out!  But alas, we live in CT and voters seem to have amnesia when they get to election time!!!  I hope their constituents are happy that they are being so well served!  What happened to working for the people?!?!?  Perhaps the public seeing this will change their behavior???

I think they just need to have the games purged off their, I mean OUR, computers and a nanny program put on them to monitor and control their web surfing.

Just think of what your boss would do if you were playing solitaire on the company computer when you were supposed to be working….and on overtime at that!

Even CNN is showing the photo – and then the anchors start joking about CNN employees playing solitaire on the job…

How ironic….liberals sitting around doing nothing while conservatives do the real work.
