President Obama’s justification for the problems with the Obamacare exchanges

As you know, Obamacare’s exchanges opened today, and the results were not pretty.  So, the President took to the Rose Garden this afternoon to minimize the  existence of  the exchanges’ “glitches”.  Here is what the President said:

Consider that just a couple of weeks ago, Apple rolled out a new mobile operating system, and within days, they found a glitch, so they fixed it.

No, Mr. President, Obamacare’s  glitches are not like Apple’s roll out of Apple’s iOS7.

At roll out, Apple was unaware of any glitches in its operating system.

At roll out, you were aware of hundreds of glitches in the Obamacare exchanges, but chose to roll them out anyway.

Mr.  President, your excuse is pretty pathetic, as is your distain for the American public.

The disdain extends to the country as a whole.? I can think of very few things that ?bama has done that any rational being would construe as being beneficial to the country.?? Unless lip service is a new entitlement…

The reason we, as a NATION…are in a whole world of HURT- is because of us ‘baby-boomers’ who allowed our schools/universities to be over-run with socialist- liberal communists, who took control of our education system and have cranked out MILLIONS of people who WEREN’T taught the true history of America… who were BRAINWASHED to believe nothing but falsities etc. It is TOO late now folks… I would like to give an example: I remember coming home one day some months after Columbine happened to find ( when I turned on the t.v. to find ‘Dopra Winfrey’ with guest Michael Moore- who was playing ?a ‘clip’ ?from ‘Bowling for Columbine’… I NEVER watched ‘Dopra’ ( one of the leading Media perverters of TRUTH ) and was about to change the channel when the ‘clip’ started. It showed an ‘animation’ of the Pilgrims ( complete with Michael Moore’s insidious commentary ) showing the ‘stick figure’ animated pilgrims coming off the Mayflower and promptly SHOOTING the ‘Indians’!!??? ?My mouth fell open…’Dopra’ and much of the audience of ‘liberal women’ gasped in horror, and I saw a few men in the audience too. I INSTANTLY thought that SOMEONE in that audience should STAND UP and yell that that was NOT true history…

Guess what? The exchanges are up and running.

Let us know of your experiences when signing up.
What I am hearing from people who have tried to sign up is not good, especially when there has been three plus years to get this right and untold billions of dollars spent to make it so.
We are seeing an epic, historic, boondoggle unfolding before our eyes.
      ?
So, let us know just what your experiences are when signing up for this… totally invasive monstrosity.
      ?
      ?

I will let it settle down for a week or so, after novelty dies down. Even radioviceonline.com could grind to a halt by a deluge of logins.

    • Steve McGough on October 3, 2013 at 7:00 am

It was not a “deluge of logins” it was people simply trying to visit the site. Barely anyone was able to complete a transaction the first day. It wasn’t all that many visitors either, something like 18,000 or so.

    • Dimsdale on October 3, 2013 at 10:07 am

And I say more power to them, sammy.? When the duped public finds out about the costs, particularly the huge deductibles for the most “affordable” policies, they will finally know who was telling the truth and who was sucking wind.
      ?
Oh, to be a fly on the wall when the true low information ?bamabots find out is isn’t free!? It will be priceless!

Next time you see a young person, thank him for pulling the wagon while you spend your twilight years in a recliner being all smart, liberal and superior. ?Socialism is great until you run out of other peoples’ money. ?

  6. Common Man on October 2, 2013 at 8:30 pm

Mr President you have the option to upgrade to iOs7 or not and Apple has a better track record of getting it right than the gov’t.

    • Dimsdale on October 3, 2013 at 10:08 am

Or you can go to Android.? ?bama is intent on destroying healthcare’s Android analogue.

  7. sammy22 on October 3, 2013 at 12:37 pm

Healthcare.gov received 4.7 million unique visits in the first 24 hours.

    • Dimsdale on October 3, 2013 at 1:20 pm

And you point is?? How many of those from reporters?

    • sammy22 on October 3, 2013 at 1:26 pm

Millions were interested, pretty high volume, I’d say. I don’t know about the reporters, but I’d say far fewer than 4.7 million.?
      ?

    • Dimsdale on October 3, 2013 at 8:45 pm

Curiosity does not equal interest.? For a site that couldn’t run worth a hoot, they sure were able to figure out how many “unique” hits there were, but maybe that only takes a modicum of skill to determine.? I wonder how many of these visitors were shocked to find out that ?bamacare wasn’t free?

    • Dimsdale on October 3, 2013 at 1:53 pm

Actually, more importantly, how many successfully signed up?

    • sammy22 on October 3, 2013 at 4:18 pm

Actually I would want information before I signed anything up. Plenty of time between now and March31, 2014. Would you sign anything before doing some homework?

    • Dimsdale on October 3, 2013 at 8:47 pm

Agreed.? Maybe the president and other Democrats could grab some of that information as well, albeit long after they should have gotten it.? Better late than never, I guess.?

SOS, Michael Ramirez drew a fabulous cartoon showing the Apple logo and a rotten apple named Obamacare, and a wonderful commentary showing his contempt for President Obama’s justification for the glitches?http://www.investors.com/editorial-cartoons/michael-ramirez/673463-obamacare

  9. Lynn on October 3, 2013 at 5:03 pm

Anyone who wants to sign up for Obamacare, go for it. As P.T. Barnum said, ” There is a sucker born every minute”.

    • sammy22 on October 3, 2013 at 8:42 pm

OK. I will not sign up. Thanks Lynn for paying for all my ER visits (says anybody avoiding personal responsibility).

    • Dimsdale on October 3, 2013 at 8:47 pm

Wouldn’t personal responsibility mean that you already have insurance?

    • Lynn on October 4, 2013 at 7:04 am

We have insurance through Aetna who refuses to be a part of the exchange. We will pay less than those who sign for Obamacare (buy a policy from the exchange). Consequently, we will not have to pay for any of those who have received waivers. ?I have never, and never will tell anybody to go without health insurance, I sold it for too long and know the consequences better than the imperial President. So be smart Sammy and check out all your choices. Good Luck

  10. cranky yankee on October 4, 2013 at 12:10 pm

I felt bad for the people who went to sign up and saw what they had to pay couldn’t afford it so they opted out and found out they were going to get fined by the IRS.? They never knew

  11. Lynn on October 5, 2013 at 9:23 am

Ok, no one will still be reading this, but I have to say this. You can buy any health insurance policy but it has to meet mandates of Obamacare or you will pay a tax. In CT, that’s easy we already have more mandates than Obamacare.
