There are two questions to consider about this story. First off, have city council meetings always started with some sort of prayer or invocation, and second, will inviting local imams to perform invocations at the meetings create unity or make things worse?

On Monday an organization known as Health Care for America Now (HCAN) sent 110 of its “followers” to protest outside the offices of UnitedHealth Group in Minnetonka, Minn. Their “peaceful” demonstration blocked the doors of the the building, and resulted in the arrest of six protesters.
In yet another sign that Democrats seem to be totally clueless about what happened on Tuesday (See: President Obama’s Wednesday press conference and his upcoming Sunday night interview on 60 Minutes), Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D. Ca.) has advised her remaining collegues in the House that she will seek the position of House minority leader come January.
