Oblivious
I just got the chance to listen to the entire speech given by the young President yesterday and I must say I was stunned. Either Mr. Obama is completely oblivious to the reality of the war on terror, or he is so convinced in his approach to fighting terror that he refuses to even recognize the obvious.
For your examination, here are two segments of the President’s address. The first is stunning in its ignorance or arrogance. So much so that I suspect even the most ardent Obama supporter is slightly shocked. The President doesn’t just use the word “alleged” in describing the incident, but he can’t seem to use the word terrorist. Rather he uses “suspect”. What is this, an episode of CSI?

This bite thought is why I titled this post oblivious. He cannot use the word terrorists to describe, ummm, terrorists, instead calling the terrorists “those who would do us harm.” Finally, he calls Abdul Farouk Umar Abdulmutallab an isolated extremist. Not exactly.

I am growing increasingly concerned that this group in the White House is incompetent to protect and keep the Republic safe. I worry.

Mr. Vicevich? Would there be any substantive difference in his actions if instead of merely being oblivious or convinced, he was on the other side and actively supporting radical islam's goals of the destruction of "the Great Satan" and world domination?
The difference would be subtle at best…
I allege that the whole thing was alleged: alleged terrorist, alleged bomb, alleged passengers, alleged crew, even an alleged flight.
All from an alleged president….
The whole story is a goof. The terrorist is totally incompetent, this is the best that they can muster? 1. he can't figure out how to blow this up? Insert syringe of anti-freeze into chemical and that it is. 2. he can't figure out that he is going to have to go into the bathroom to blow himself up?
I think you might want to re-think you fear, you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning twice than you do of dieing in a terror attack. You should be telling people to dismiss such notions out of hand, not getting on the radio telling them that you are scared and don't feel safe. That is irresponsible in my opinion.
