Obama’s off-shore drilling commission

Jim spoke briefly about this on today’s show…let me fill in the rest of the blanks. Obama appointed a seven person commission to delve into the cause of the Gulf oil spill, and to recommend ways to make drilling safer.

The following folks are on said commission. There are two co-chairmen. One is a former Senator and Governor from Florida who has opposed any off-shore drilling in the Gulf, and the other co-chair is a former president and chairman of the National Wildlife Fund.

Next, we have a biological oceanographer, the vice president of the National Geographic Society, a member of the Aspen Institute’s Commission on Arctic Climate Change, the president of the Natural Resources Defense Council (who has, since the Gulf oil spill, publicly called for the end of off-shore and Arctic drilling on numerous occasions), and, a college professor with some engineering background but whose specialties are physics and optics.

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to the final recommendations of said commission?

Why waste our time and money…present your “findings” tomorrow and be done with it.

Now, that's what I call a "stacked deck!"

Let it be noted here and for all times to come: the "young president," to borrow Jim's appellation, does NOTHING that is not a forgone conclusion. He gets exactly what he wants to hear. All the world sees is theater. Bad at that!

He is surrounded by "Yes!" people and, the "young president" (why do I get the feeling that he is a Hitler in so many ways? "Ya vold, mien Fuhrer!" Complete with stiff-arm salute and clicking heals, of course) would probably love to execute anyone who would dare to offer a dissenting opinion as a salutary example of what happens to anyone who crosses "his nibs!")

When will he stop campaigning for president and begin to govern?

      Or a kangaroo court!

An astute observation, Dimsdale! Why limit the scope of our limitations to the Northern Hemisphere?

This guy is so smarmy that I bet we will have another "oil spill" to make it seem he is so prescient and  knew that every idle oil-skimmer in the United States would be needed for a new disaster.

The Jones Act be damned! Anyone with half a brain, oops, I forgot of whom I refer, would have taken every resource that could be mustered, including European offers of help, turned out the National Guard and attacked this disaster for the unholy mess that it is.

The unfortunate people living along the Gulf coast, who make, err made, a living from in the Gulf of Mexico, need every bit of assistance that can be summoned to this unnatural disaster! Where is the "hope and change" for them? It's business as usual with Obama; he expects B. P. to fully make these people whole again? It is far too big of a disaster for B. P. alone to set things right. What universe does this guy live in? Not the universe of REALITY.

But, this individual in the White House has CHOSEN to play politics with with a man-made disaster in order to enhance his image; at whose cost has Obama preened and pimped himself while on vacation; on "vital" international trips (so that he can bow and scrape before every two-bit potentate); vacation with the family; make umpteen speeches before paying, adoring crowds of sycophants; and, what has he done besides appoint a commission of left-wing "experts?" Obama = NOTHING! Nothing doing, nothing to correct the problem of the oil-spill, nothing to help the people effected by this horrendous disaster, nothing, nothing, nothing; day-after-day of nothing! Yet he has ample time to play Chicago-style politics appointing a quasi-qualified individual to the Supreme Court, and too many other seemingly "presidential" functions so he appears to be handling the business of the United States of America.

This "community organizer" couldn't organize his own neckties!

By the way, he and his crew are quietly dismantling the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence right under our noses while most people are, rightly, consumed with the mess in the Gulf. These founding documents are but a hindrance to Obama.

Hillary is deftly aligning the U. S. with the U. N. to destroy the Bill of Rights particularly the Second Amendment flat-out! She is, also, working with the DemocRAT Party and its contributors (Soros and company) and the U. N. to sharply curtail and eventually eliminate the the First Amendment, Fourth Amendment and Fifth Amendments and many others. Her attitude is that Americans have too many Rights as citizens; she thinks we need to be like the rest of the world; and, she is of the now of the Ruling Class and anyone else not in her coterie is a subject (just like in England). Hillary for President in 2012? No!!! Hillary for Queen of the United States in 2012!

There's more. Every day just open your eyes and your mind and read from the "Top Resources" Jim has listed on the right of this page along with the "Other Favorites" and listen to any of the conservative talk-radio hosts along with Jim and you will learn more than you may expect.

Yeah, I get all my news from the right wing blogs!

BTW, go to factcheck.org for haha's some day and see how much deceptive propaganda is spewed out on these sites.

Q: Did Obama turn down foreign offers of assistance in cleaning up the Gulf oil spill? Did he refuse to waive Jones Act restrictions on foreign-flag vessels?

A: No to both questions. So far, five offers have been accepted and only one offer has been rejected. Fifteen foreign-flag vessels are working on the cleanup, and none required a waiver.

That is what we call a collection of "yes men".  Why not invite representatives of China, Venezuela, Cuba and Mexico, just to round things out?  Since Øbama's schemes will leave them in virtual control of all oil drilling in the Gulf, why not get their "expertise"?

Didn't the lefties complain about lobbyists and insiders advising the president?  Well, Republican presidents anyway.

Welcome to the new and improved Øbama Banana Republic!  Please stand over their for your monthly allotment of rice and toilet paper.  Hope and change, baby!

Believe it or not! I actually wish Teddy Kennedy was still around right now- I knew what his position on off-shore-drilling was when I saw pictures of him on the back of that boat in the Italian riviera with the , ummmm, Italian woman (circa 1988)!?
