Obama’s health care apology

On Wednesday evening, the President appeared on NBC to respond to the outcry of people who have now learned that they can keep neither their doctor nor their private insurance under Obamacare.  Let me remind you what the President said on Wednesday.

I am sorry they are finding themselves in this position based upon assurances they got from me.

No, Mr. President, they are not finding themselves in this position of losing their doctors and their insurance based upon your assurances.  They are finding themselves in the position of losing their doctors and their insurance based on your law and your regulations implementing that law. Period.

The President went on to say,

We’ve got to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this.

In fact, the President has been so moved by your outcry that he spent hours today with senior presidential advisor, Valerie Jarrett…playing golf.

When you have to apologize for something then you need to make restitution. He could roll back the regulations on grandfathered policies so that they conform to ” ?If you like your plans you can keep your plans PERIOD If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor PERIOD” what are the chances of seeing that Executive Order?

I am convinced now, that healthcare was not the goal, the goal was simply to redistribute the wealth. ?Millions of US citizens will pay either outrageous amounts of money to keep any insurance they can get, or not pay for insurance and go bankrupt to pay for cancer, heart attacks, catastrophic illnesses. States will go broke paying for people getting Medicaid that should not be on it. There has been no move to cancel the ?penalties for no insurance under the auspices of the tyrannical IRS, and the penalties will increase each year. The only way you can break the will and earning power of the American worker is to eliminate the safety net of our non broken healthcare system. ?Families will pay anything to keep their families healthy. The unemployed will have free healthcare paid for by us.

We’ re currently already paying (and have for a long period of time) for healthcare for the unemployed and the uninsured. Personally I do not like that already.

Yes, but we have wonderful trained doctors, excellent hospitals, cutting edge research to prevent or cure diseases. We will lose all of this because of ?greedy uncaring Democrats (yes Sammy, no Republicans voted for it). We could have had healthcare ?reform that made sense if POTUS and the Democrats cared enough to ask the experts. I really don’t know if it is possible to fix the mess of Obamacare without repealing it completely and starting over. ?I guess I just have to believe we will have the strength to demand that Washington listens.

There is an extra $40 to $60 charge on all new health care insurance policies written. This is a direct result of the tax put on insurance policies by Obamacare. There are features of the ACA that I personally like, but the escalating cost and then getting taxed on the whole thing is just over the top!
I am quite sure that there are some democrats who are getting very rich, dare I say wealthy, on all of these cost increases.
The political ruling-class elite liberals are out of control. The country-class liberals somehow think that is just fine?
    Really?

One should be surprised that there are extra charges on insurance policies. Insurance companies (or any other for-profit organization) don’t do anything for “free”.

Obama started off by paying off the financial industry. Then, he paid off the unions with the auto bailouts.
What we are seeing is the latest payoff to the insurance industry. There are a lot of democrat fat cats who are funneling their payoffs to the DNC as their thanks.
Check their “fundraising”? — err, extortion–? totals. (I should make that!)
        ?
We should have followed the Republican suggestion that everyone would get a $5K allotment toward their health insurance . . . Ryan, was it? Less crap in the long run.

Hey, bien-pensant, we could also have gone the single-payer route. But guess what: a lot of people, as you pointed out, would not be making a lot of money.

Au contraire, my little liberal, The Navigators won’t even have to change headsets! The grants of well over a quarter million dollars will keep coming in and the democrats will keep a well-paid phone bank open staffed with democrats who just happen to have access to thousands and thousands of people’s personal and financial information.

Straight out of the democrat playbook and today’s talking points. Call it a conspiracy. Diminish intelligent inquiry, redirect the discourse, obfuscate and call names. Anything to deny the reality of this poorly-planned debacle.
