Obama to Tea Party Folk – Get Lost
We poke fun now and then but he is our President and he has the legislative majorioty to do what he wants. But that doesn’t mean we who oppose those plans should not push back. Witness the Tea Parties.
But the young President who told ABC he wasn’t even aware they were around, used his 100 day town hall meeting to dismiss them, ridicule them … and the people who participated. It was this “teleprompter promoted” President at his most arrogant. But then … he has a gift.

He’s being arrogant and dismissive and I find that ironic coming from a man who says he spent his life championing the cause of those with no voice. The Tea Parties are grass roots organizing at their finest. No federal money and paid organizers. No buses or car pickups. But this … this is the Messiah as his most arrogance. Remember, as you Father told you … pride goeth before the fall. Fall 2010 that is.

Obama strikes me as having the type of arrogance that comes from being spoonfed things all one's life, like a spoiled rich kid, that never really had to work hard to get anything he wanted. In Obama's case, it was affirmative action and civil rights that essentially handed everything to him, including the president. Given his resume, what else could it be?
Unfortunately, as the "reverend" Wright would say, eventually, the chickens come home to roost. His immaturity and inexperience is really revealing itself. Dissing any part of the electorate is unwise for any politician, because all the people you stepped on to get to the top will be kicking you on the way down. His hubris is exemplified in his "I won" exclamation to snubbed Republicans. He essentially thinks he owns the government.
Affirmative action is the new Peter Principle.
A modern day parable:
After Captain Picard was assimilated into the Borg collective he sent a message to the Enterprise – “I am Locutus… of Borg. Resistance… is futile. Your life as it has been… is over. From this time forward… you will service… us.”
Well it didn’t come to happen and the Captain eventually returned to command of the Enterprise, eventually defeating the Borg.

The problem with most politicians is that the higher they reach in power, the more disconnected they are with regular people. Obama's remarks about those attending the tea parties were, in my opinion, just plain demeaning and elitist. But, more than that, it shows that he has assimilated into the whole "Washington" cocktail party circuit scene, taking on the views of journalists, entrenched politicos and their host(esses) (think Sally Quinn). The media own him!

I remember that when there was opposition to what President Bush (43) said, and people were asked to pay attention to what was being said, the opposition claimed suppression of free speach. Now, that there is opposition to their guy, they don't want to hear it. It seems as those of us who donit think "right think" (apologies to Mr. Orwell) deserve no say. It turns out they are the close minded fools. Hoo, boy! This is a dark ride indeed.
