Obama foreign policy … “It’s amateur night”

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is getting tired. Certainly, there are a tremendous number of world events that are stretching the State Department’s abilities, but it does not help if you have a boss that can’t seem to make a decisive decision on anything other than sports picks.

Heck, some would argue he’s not even definitive about his sports picks … maybe he’ll select his real choices for the final four once the Sweet 16 is over and done with. From The Daily.

Fed up with a president “who can’t make his mind up” as Libyan rebels are on the brink of defeat, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is looking to the exits.

At the tail end of her mission to bolster the Libyan opposition, which has suffered days of losses to Col. Moammar Gadhafi’s forces, Clinton announced that she’s done with Obama after 2012 — even if he wins again.

“Obviously, she’s not happy with dealing with a president who can’t decide if today is Tuesday or Wednesday, who can’t make his mind up,” a Clinton insider told The Daily. “She’s exhausted, tired.”

Read the entire piece, which includes an interview with one insider, plus refers to statements by former President Bill Clinton, one of his previous top advisors, the French president, and a French diplomat. Add this all up and you’ve got a extraordinarily bad leadership issue that borders on a crisis.

The following quotes are from the Gridiron Club Dinner – including a stand-up comedy routine by the president – last week, but they were during the same period Gadhafi was slamming the Libyan opposition. This guy’s timing is terrible.

“I’ve dispatched Hillary to the Middle East to talk about how these countries can transition to new leaders — though, I’ve got to be honest, she’s gotten a little passionate about the subject,” Obama said to laughter from the audience.

“These past few weeks it’s been tough falling asleep with Hillary out there on Pennsylvania Avenue shouting, throwing rocks at the window.”

God forbid one of your top secretaries take her position seriously. Maybe he thinks Clinton should take up golf and ease up on the work schedule a little bit.

Amateur night it is…

I wonder what will characterize the "Øbama Doctrine"? Flailing, indecision and angst? But flowery words no doubt!

Is everything a joke to this man?

I can't believe I actually feel sorry for Secretary Clinton. I predict that she will not wait until December 2012 to make a move out of the administration. She will break from this regime of incompetence.

The President "plays" in Rio and with the NCAA and, meanwhile, Washington and the world are burning!

Why should this suprise anyone this man never can make hard choices. He hung Hillary out to dry no wonder she calling it quits. After all he is an anti colonialist he will do more damage to our foreign policy than any wars that we ever fought. After all he is a personality not a leader.

What job did he think he was applying for back in '08?

She best not call while he's watching basketball for the next 2 weeks straight.

Put the world on hold cuz Obama's got priorities.

It must have been tough to take this job and find out that voting "present" is not an option, although he has done his best to make it seem so.

How can the government possibly come up with more giveaways? I just can't believe they are serious.

    Let's see: Clinton, Dodd, Lieberman…

Just some of the folks that set up this run away train. Now they are jumping off before the train wreck. They will leave a black (I know he is of mixed race) guy to blame. (It's all part of the plan)

It won't matter if the Repubs win in a landslide in 2012. They are of the same ilk. These parties take turns duping their own constituents. Remember that the Bush administration bought about the biggest increase in federal job growth with FEMA and Homeland Security. And don't forget about our liberties beng taken by the Patriot Act ! All of the trouble these DC fools (R) and (D) have caused will give America a bad name world wide.

And Foreign Affairs will fall to the same " It's broke and we have to fix it" tragic-comedy routine.

Tin foil hat comment: We will be lucky if they even let us sit at the big table when the new world order is set in place. The elder Bush mentions New World Order in this and other speeches. <a href="http://www.historyplace.com/speeches/bush-war.htm ” target=”_blank”>http://www.historyplace.com/speeches/bush-war.htm It is in the 17th paragraph after the timeline of events.

    <a title="Strassel: President 'Present'" href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703818204576207013144245304.html?mod=WSJ_newsreel_opinion" rel="nofollow">From Kimberly Strassel at the WSJ (Mar 18, 2011):

"Obama advisers are spinning their excuses for the president's absence (he needs to stay above the fray, he believes in international agreement). Conservatives, for their part, are beginning to argue the "incompetence" line. A combination of all is probably at work, along with an even greater impulse: political safety. Mr. Obama got a taste of falling approval ratings last year. The White House has worked hard to get those numbers back up and wants to keep them there until Mr. Obama has a GOP opponent and can go into campaign mode—where he's at his best.

And so as Moammar Gadhafi has visited a bloodbath on opposition forces, the White House has for weeks spun its wheels at the United Nations, waiting for someone else to go first. The White House has argued intervention might provoke an Arab backlash against the U.S., and it could be it actually believes such crazy talk. Yet it seems equally concerned that any U.S.-led military action in Libya—no matter how minor—will invite comparisons to the dreaded Bush warmongers and prove unpopular."

"…waiting for someone else to go first…"

Exactly the problem. Two years ago, the U.S. stopped being the leader of the free world, and began schlepping with the followers.

The President wrestles with himself. A born and raised socialist is hard pressed to support efforts for freedom and democracy.

Beyond amateur- google "Obama+middle finger" on youtube. He's always mentioning names or parties while scratching his nose, temple or lips with a full out erect middle finger. And it's almost always with his dominant hand- the one we gesture with. Adversity builds character- he's a stranger to both.
